Enjoy the bedroom accommodations which includes electric fireplaces in two bedrooms or check-out the 3 convertible sofas - one in front of the fireplace, one in the forest wrapped sun room or the third in the second floor loft. Hop in the large HOT TUB on the back deck or enjoy the POOL or FOOSBALL TABLES in the sun room.

The kitchen has a 21' refrigerator with ice maker, lots of dishes, glasses, silver, pots & pans and kitchen gadgets including a large spaghetti pot, roaster, waffle iron & crock pot. It has an eat-in kitchen (seats 4) and there is seating for 10 in the large dining room.

The porch rockers overlook the woodland valley within Shagbark in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. The way is paved from major highways in Pigeon Forge to the country road of Waldens Creek. Up the hill at the end of the trip so you can enjoy the wonderful view. A two car carport and covered walkway keeps you dry while loading or unloading. Free firewood provided for your enjoyment. You will want to come back again and again!

The pictures on the web site do not do this cabin justice. Everything was more than advertised. The ratings on Home Away made choosing a vacation rental easy. Cathy was amazing to work w during the reservation process. She helped us w every detail along the way, and was very prompt in responding. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities needed for a great weekend. The weather even cooperated by snowing approximately 6 inches while we were there, which made for an amazing Winter Wonder Land. The roads were even plowed starting @ 9 a.m. the following morning after it snowed, so we felt perfectly safe on our drive out of the gated community. We definitely plan on visiting again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We recently stayed at Quail's Retreat (Oct 20 - 24, 2009) and enjoyed our stay very much. There were six of us - three sisters and one brother, along with two of the spouses - and we really had a good time. From the time we arrived, we found Quail's Retreat to be comfortable and homey. We enjoyed visiting in front of the fireplace, playing cards and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, and we found everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Cathy was very gracious and pleasant when we made our reservation. We hope to have a chance to stay here again.

My family stayed here in mid October, 09, we really enjoyed the cabin. Everything was just like the pictures. It was very clean,well equipped with anything you would need. We will definitely stay here again

We took my sister and her husband to Tennessee during their visit from California and were lucky enough to rent Quails Retreat for the weekend. We have rented other homes in the Shagbark community, but this was by far our favorite. We especially appreciated the thoughtfulness for our children. The safety gates for the stairs and the porta-crib were a huge help! The attention to detail is exceptional and it truly feels like a home rather than a rental. Our only regret was only staying 2 nights when a week would've been amazing.

We had a fantastic time at your cabin! The two families had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves playing pool, using the hot tub, or just relaxing. Everything was wonderful - thank you!
