Photos and Description of the Shapleigh vacation house rental Three bedrooms, one bath, comfortably sleeps 8

Newly rebuilt home on Square Pond located directly across from a 50 foot right of way. Water views from all rooms. Large bedrooms, one with 2 double beds and a large room down stairs with the kitchen at one end and the living room at the other. The kitchen is well equipped; all necessary items (no dishwasher). There is a fireplace on the back wall between the two rooms. A screened, glassed porch is on the front. A television and VCR are included, but there is no phone. The lake is 14 miles around, five miles long, spring fed and very clean. The beach is sandy with a gradual incline in the water. Water sports are allowed. It is a wonderful family vacation spot guaranteed to be stress free.

Nearest Airport: Portland Airport at 45 Miles
Nearest Train: Wells Maine at 25 Miles
Nearest Motorway: Route 95 Maine Turnpike at 25 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 30.0 Miles
Car: necessary
The cottage is set in the Maine pines, and it serene. The air is fresh, the water is clean and relaxation is a guarantee. The Maine coast is 30 miles away and all the coastal towns from Wells to Portsmouth have cultural events all summer as well as great restaurants, antique shops, theatres and art galleries. Portland, which is about 50 miles is a port city, has a huge shopping mall (as does Portsmouth which is sales tax free) and many summer events. Sanford is there for most needs and has a cinema. I have spent my summers here for many years, and have never grown tired of the experience. Go and enjoy.
