Air-conditioned Apartment near Louvre with fantastic VIEW, for 2-4 people

This apartment is perfectly acceptable. I appreciated the elevator to the 8th floor, and I loved the view of the Eiffel Tower. The shower is a bit compromised -- a jacuzzi tub with no jacuzzi working and only a hand-held sprinkler precariously mounted on the wall. The ceiling is slanted, so I just fit at 5'7", and my poor, tall son had to do amazing jyrations to get clean. Still, I'd recommend the place. There is a ledge outside the window my son used for entertaining (dangerous, but he's 23 and fearless). Walking distance to the Louvre and the Opera House. Lots of restaurants and metro stops nearby, too. Great electric blinds that really block the light -- tho, unfortunately, those in the living room stopped working while we were there.

Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here for a week in July and had a great time. The location is amazing within walking distance to the Louvre. There are 2 metro stops just around the corner (Bourse and Grands Boulevards). There is also a Velib rack (public bike rental) right outside the front door of the building for those who are more adventurous. The apartment was well-stocked with plenty of towels, cooking implements and closet space. The building is on a quiet street and it was peaceful for the most part, although there was a little caterwauling on the weekends from late-night bar patrons. The apartment, being on the top floor, is also very quiet.

We met the husband-and-wife owners of the apartment and they were very nice. The arrangements for taking over and then turning over the apartment went off without a hitch and the owners were very accommodating of our travel schedules when meeting at the beginning and end of our stay.

Looking forward to returning to this wonderful apartment!

My husband and I and our 14 year old son just spent a week at this apartment. It was defnitely as advertised - close to the Metro and within walking distance to the Louvre. We loved the neighborhood, including the local Starbucks - a welcome and unexpected find. The only negative we would say is that there is only one elevator that goes to the 8th floor, the other stops at 7, and one day they were working on it so we had to walk the extra flight. The other is the shower. My son and I are 5'7" and my husband is 6"4, and we had to hunch over to use it.

The owner, Vincent, was so pleasant and nice to deal with. He was very honest and charming, and able to answer many questions for us,

The agent was also great, and we used her service to arrange for transportation to and from the airport. We would defnitely recommend her.

We've lived in apartments before, so are used to taking off our shoes and walking in slippers or barefoot, so had no problem with the neighbor downstairs. There are a couple of small children next door, but we found their laughter and voices a charming addition to our vacation.

The air conditioner worked beautifully, and we were glad to have it especially for the 2 days it was in the 90's.
