JOSHUA TREE PARK HOUSE AN OASIS WITH MOUNTAIN VIEWS

Joshua Tree House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Detached Unit, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-10)

This is a true Mountain Oasis in the desert at the Joshua Tree National Park entrance:

One property, one bedroom house, extra sleeping in living room, and private-entrance guest quarters, plus a detached art studio for recreation and extra sleeping.

The house is a colorfully-painted ranch style, with mostly glass walls facing the mountain views in the back yard, with private entrance guest quarters and bath, plus a detached art studio for work, play, and/or extra sleeping.

Get away from the world, no phones, TV’s, or internet. All that is avail in town for emergencies, but this is a real desert-mountain retreat.

The house is one big room with living room, fire place, kitchen, and sunken area for enjoying the Mountain View with a separate and private master bedroom off the living room area.

And the other side of the open space holds the dining area with a hallway off to the bath. Through the colonnade and down the path are the guest quarters, a single large bedroom with Mountain View and bath.

There is an art studio next to it, with a convertible bed and day bed for extra sleeping.

Enjoy the orchard of 8 fruit trees, garden, large pine trees, and many other trees, cactus, and other desert plants.

There is lots of shade for lazy orchard naps in the hammock after lunch prepared in the outdoor kitchen.

You can spend early evenings in the hot tubs, among the rocks, after hiking, rock climbing, or just driving through the gorgeous Joshua Tree Park. Or after horse back riding available down the road.

There are restaurants, art galleries, live theatre, music festivals, and we are only 25 minutes from Desert Hot Springs and its famous hot tubs and pool where you can spend the day for one small price.

Further we are 35 minutes from Palm Springs its airport, spas, golf courses, arts and culture.

The Salton Sea is an 1 1/2 hrs away with fishing, swimming, and boating. LA and the Ocean communities are 2 1/2 hrs away for a great day trip.

The Wild Flower season is in the spring, and everything is in bloom, and people come from all over the country to see it. The fall and winter the area is a mecca for the rock climbers and mild weather fans. So, spend a week or a weekend in this beautiful desert Oasis.

Joshua Tree is a spiritual and vacation mecca.

This is a unique location nestled into the border with the park. It is private and beautiful. You have the Park to explore, or you can just sit in the yard or amongst the numerous boulders on the property and be part of it. Or you can sit in the oasis of gardens, pine trees, and fruit orchard. It is a very special place.

Unconventional in a magnificent way!

  • 5 of 5
OMG this place is wondrous! My husband and I stayed with my nephew & his friend who were climbing in Joshua Tree. We had 3 absolutely magical nights. Cooking outside, omelettes for breakfast, and steaks with skewered vegetables for dinner was superb!

The beds were quite comfortable and the showers were fine. The view and the overall ambiance were spectacular!
If you want to experience Joshua Tree without pomp and circumstance this is the place. Yes there are beds for many but the art studio and the flowering courtyards made us think that a very talented woman once lived here that we wish we could have met!

To the owner I suggest some updated kitchen ware, but otherwise, bravo, we will be back!!!!

Unbelievable-- could not have wanted more

  • 5 of 5
Stayed here with a group of 7 friends for a weekend in March. The surroundings are unreal! And the house (and other quarters) are quite comfy. Loved the hot tub, hammock, rocks to scramble on out back and the proximity to the park. And the stars-- felt like we could see them all. Would love to make coming here a tradition.

DREAM HOUSE!!!! DREAM PLACE!!!! NO WHERE ELSE COMPARES!!!!

  • 5 of 5
We visited Cali for a month. We stayed in San Francisco, Sequoia, Big Sur, Hollywood and San Diego BUT THIS HOUSE AND THIS PLACE WAS OUR FAVORITE!!!! The pictures do not do it justice. You just have to go! The property is huge and its beautiful!!! Words can not describe it and the views are spectacular! The peace and quietness are like nothing you'll ever find! The house is very close to Joshua Tree park where you can do some really neat hikes. You truly are in the wilderness when your in Joshua Tree. The house was clean and it had everything. The wood is even there for your fireplace and there's plenty of beds and plenty of quiet places all over the property for you to relax. My husband and I usually never go back to the same place twice or even the same area. We have to really love it and to be honest this place kind of felt like home and we will be back. The surrounding desert area is one you could retire in. You just have to go to understand.

Love this place!

  • 4 of 5
I love this house! The scenery is unbeatable! It's like waking up in the national park! The 4 separate structures allows for a great amount of privacy for groups too! The hot tub, out door kitchen, and the fire pit out back are my favorite parts of this place. The only reason why it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the kitchen inside has a tiny amount of counter space which makes it pretty challenging to prepare meals for 6 people. That is not reason enough to keep me coming back! This was my 2nd stay here and I will be back for sure!

Owner's Response: I am glad you loved the place. There are so few places available that are set right into the rocks, the very setting that people come here from all over the country to experience, that make this spot so special, and would be the reason for anyone to visit here. It is truly like living in an oasis in the wonderland of rocks in the park. It is in fact the northernmost end of the wonderland of rocks, as we are bordered by the park on more than half the property. The views are breath taking. It is completely isolated on more than half the property.

The four buildings are clean, colorful, and stocked with everything you need except food. It seems pretty harsh to bring us down a star because of a small amount of counter space in the main house kitchen. Especially when we provide you with an entire additional kitchen outdoors with a 15 foot counter. We have prepared many large family meals there, and have never had a problem. We have had groups of 10 and more, with nary a complaint. Further, we do provide a folding table, that you probably did not see, for additional prep space in the house. We will be sure to point that out to other guests.

I would like to encourage anyone considering staying with us to spend as much time outdoors enjoying the very rare setting here, just sitting in the hot tub surrounded by the boulder mountains in the day, and watching the falling stars at night is worth 5 stars to me.

This is the perfect little get away from everything spot backed almost rite next to the entrance of Joshua Tree N.P. This is the third year in a row that my wife and i, also accompanied with a few close friends have returned to this place. The scenery and landscape is really hard to top, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet get away for the weekend, or longer.

Living Right

  • 5 of 5
This cozy and colorful compound is the Radio Shack for the soul: you've got questions, this place has answers. The setting is rustic but comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a proper getaway. The property sits on the edge of the park with gorgeous views in all directions and complete privacy. Sleeping room aplenty yet so many reasons not to go to sleep. The hot tub was built for soaking, stars, and Stevie Nicks. Booking was a cinch. We will be back!
