Photos and Description of the Becket vacation cottage rental
2 bedrooms,1 loft, 1 full bathroom. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

Becket is in the heart of The Berkshire Mountains and is a famous cultural and arts center. It is also a nature lovers destination. The area provides something for everyone: fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding. Jacob's Pillow is 5 minutes away, Tanglewood is @30 min. Also close by are: Lee Prime Outlets, Becket Arts Center, Appalachian Trail,Norman Rockwell Museum, summer stock theaters, Berkshire Museum, Jiminy Peak, Arrowhead, Botanical Gardens and much more!

Our cottage was built in 2006. Inside, there is a large Lr/Dr area that looks out at the lake. There is a large flat screen TV with satellite & DVD player plus a fireplace & dining table in this room. The 2 bedrooms each have a queen size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped. The large loft has a futon & 2 air mattresses.Washer & dryer included. There is an unfinished screened-in porch & attached garage. Outside,there is a gas grill,chairs,portable fire pit, 20 ft.dock, a beautiful lake & wonderful fresh air!

Property Location: The cottage is located in The Sherwood Forest Private Community which is off of Rt 20 in Becket,MA. There are 5 lakes within this community and many miles of country roads. There is even a General Store where you can get GREAT, inexpensive breakfasts and lunches or perhaps pick up an item that you didn't bring with you!

Overall, 'The Forest' is a safe, relaxed, eclectic and friendly environment.

Rural without being remote!

Notes: There is a Community beach 2 houses down where you can swim & sunbath. You can also sunbath & fish from our private dock. If you just want to relax on land, there is a nice hammock in the backyard along with adirondak chairs, many directors chairs and a Zero gravity chair! A gas grill & fire pit are provided.The screened in porch is also nice for morning coffee or afternoon nap! Kayaks(2) & rafts(2) are on site but use of the lake or anything else on the property is at your own risk. Pets are not allowed.

The Magnificent Hawks Nest

We have been vacationing in the Berkshires for many years and no place has ever been so special. The house is situated on a magnificent lake that provides a beautiful landscape to enjoy with all senses. The swimming, boating, bird watching and catch/release fishing are all right out the door. The amenities in the house make you feel as if you are home without having to bring along those comforts. The owners were a pleasure to work with. We will be returning again!

Beautiful vacation home

this is a beautifully decorated,quiet and well appointed vacation home with everything you need for comfort. Patio, screen porch, living room and master bedroom all look out at the lake ,only feet away. Good beds, nice linens, plenty of kitchen dishes and pots and pans. Quiet lake is great for canoing or kayaking. We hope to be back this summer.
