Casita Solrisa is one of two cabins peeking out of the jungle on 25 acres of private land. On the property you can hike to private waterfalls for soak or simply enjoy your own pool outside the door. We have spectacular sunsets over the Pacific Ocean 365 days of the year. Casita Solrisa is ideal for an adventurous couple, or small family, wanting a private getaway in fun-filled Costa Rica. Renting both casitas accommodates larger groups and families. The casitas are cozy and clean. Weekly housekeeping is included. Each casita has one bedroom with a queen bed and a queen futon in the living room. The full kitchen is generously equipped. Complimentary Internet is available.

Wake up to the best of ocean and jungle; the sound of ocean surf in the distance and monkeys in nearby trees. Our location, on a breezy hillside 300 meters up (900 feet) and two kilometers from the coast provides a unique vista to watch toucans fly and parrots eat flowers in the trees. It’s cooler here than on the beach and it's an ideal home base for exploring Costa Rica's south central pacific. A 4x4 vehicle is required to reach the property. We’re away from the crowds, but not isolated. Ten minutes away you’ll find beautiful beaches and the quirky surfing town of Dominical, where tasty restaurants abound. Our immediate area offers everything from fishing trips and horseback rides to surfing lessons and zipline tours. Or you can simply explore on your own with a four-wheel drive car. South for the day, you’ll find private, deserted beaches, mangroves and the mysterious stone spheres of Costa Rica. One hour north, the awesome Manuel Antonio Park beckons.

Tranquil - need a 4x4

This place was great - the view was fantastic, the pool relaxing. Wildlife abounds, I watched a tucan feeding over breakfast and heard howler monkeys over lunch. The people were really helpful too.
Make sure you have a 4x4 - the river crossings were real easy and I loved driving up the track.
Renting both cabins would be great if you were traveling with a few people (maybe put the kids in one cabin and have one for yourself).
The nearby Dominincal had good surf, small markets and heaps of restaurants. I would highly recommend this place.
