We loved the guest house for our get-a-away weekend. It was very quiet and relaxing. The property is beautiful and easy to reach. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but just a 15 minute drive to Salida. Definitely will want to come back again!
My husband and I stayed here for a few nights to get away one last weekend before our first baby was due. It was a wonderful place to relax. We went for small hikes/walks and poked around Salida, and looked longingly at the list of more active things we would like to come back and do one day. But it was also an amazing spot to just sit outside and enjoy our surroundings. The lodge itself was comfortable and cozy.
My family (spouse, parents, kids + golden retriever) stayed at Little River for easter. The spot is fabulous - the guest house is pretty & eccentric with great rugs, art and easy-use layout. The property has a teepee, pond, creek, hot tub, horseshoes and lots of area to explore. I was terrified that our dog would drive everyone crazy wandering (the main house is close - but once you settle in it does feel private) but the owners were kind and helpful (and have a sweet dog too). We want to come back during another season. Biking and hiking in the area is super accessible and varied.
My wife and I needed a few days away from work and the crazy Denver area. We enjoyed three nights at the property. We loved the comfort, layout, and location of the property and cabin. We also enjoyed the nearby hot springs and breweries. In the evenings and one early morning, the hot tub just outside the cabin was most relaxing and the views amazing. We intend to stay again soon, and will recommend to our friends and coworkers.
This cabin was perfect for the four of us and our dog. Such beautiful surroundings to enjoy, plus hiking and skiing nearby, relaxing evenings in the hot tub under a luxurious full moon!
The husband and I came up here for a few nights. The cabin was amazing, great layout making a very comfortable stay. The location is great. We were able to spend time in the surrounding towns getting the true feeling of Colorado. We were also able to hike Mount Yale as the mountains are just a drive up the road!
