Perfect rental for families with young children

We were planning a family holiday (2 adults, 2 children age 7 and 3 and one grandma!!) San Francisco our chosen destination, I really struggled at first as we didn't think a hotel would be very good for the kids. I found the 'home away' website and was pleasantly surprised with the number of vacation rentals on offer. I narrowed the search and e-mailed my enquiries, Jacob got back to me very promptly and with was extremely helpful with all aspects of the booking.
The holiday itself was fabulous, and made much easier by Jacobs excellent customer service, not just when booking but during our stay as well.
This apartment is very spacious with ample room for us. It is really easy to use public transport from here - Just walk up to the top of the road and catch the bus straight into the city. There are restaurants within walking distance also. We hired a car and had no problems parking a couple of minutes walk from the property. The beach chalet on ocean beach is a lovely place to eat and watch the sunset, Louis' was still open for evening meals at the weekends when we visited and the seal rock inn did fabulous breakfasts.
The kids loved the huge TV and were kept amused with the games and DVDs whilst we got everything ready for our days out.
if we ever visit San Francisco again we would definitely stay here.

Owner's Response: Dave's enthusiasm and excitement were palpable when I spoke to him on the phone after he arrived at the property. I was very pleased that he liked the property and I could hear the children in the background watching the 52" Samsung HDTV showing a cable station or one of the DVD's we have selected for children.
This property is ideal for a family with children--young or older- as well as a group of adults. as the amenities are numerous and geared to different types of guests. The DVD movie library is varied enough to meet the tastes of adults as well as children. And there is always the possibility to stream free Netflixs movies directly to the TV with the Roku. That the property is spacious is always appreciated by our guests.
It is important to me that my guests have the best possible experience at the property and during their stay in SF.
The "customer service" that Dave refers to involved suggestions as to car rental, information about public transport, tourist brochures and maps at the property, as well as the use of a cell phone with prepaid minutes in addition to the landline.
For his convenience, I made a new Netbook available at the property for researching last minute details, accessing maps to different destinations and checking emails.
Dave's comments show that he explored the immediate neighborhood and benefited from the great location by taking advantage of all that was offered --from the variety of nearby restaurants to the frequent buses running along Geary for easy access to the downtown.
When our guests are pleased and want to return we are happy and feel we have succeeded in our mission. to provide the best possible vacation rental experience.
