All knotty pine 1,200 square foot cabin built in 2003. In beautiful Floradale subdivision with heated pool, basketball, horse shoes, shuffle board and tennis court on premises. 400 feet of shared Silver Lake frontage with fishing dock. Cabin is nestled in the woods with a short walk to all amenities. View of gorgeous Silver Lake and awesome Sand Dunes also a short walk away. Lake Michigan beach and light house is about 5 minutes away. Silver Lake is Michigan's number 1 vacation destination for a reason. So much to do in the area. Something fun for everyone. Dune rides, go cart rentals, para-sailing, water sport rentals, shopping, sites and a place to relax. Sleeps 15.

Not truly on Lake Front

We loved the Cabin, but expected to be much-much closer to waterfront. We too were not overly impressed with the idea of walking a 1/2 mile to deliver garbage. We also woul have enjoyed television, especially ESPN. I feel a week out of the loop for sports.

We did appreciated the play box sand area for the younger kids. We too were grateful for the large supply of fire wood.

We did have issues with one of the bedrooms comforter and linens having bad odor.

The grill was not working properly.

Overall I would rate as 7 on 1-10 scale.
Owner's Response: Cozy Cabin At Silver Lake is located in popular Floradale Subdivision. Our website is linked to the Home Away site and displays a map of where the property is in relation to the lake. It is about a half mile from the lake or a 10 to 15 minute walk.

The property offers many amenities including 400 foot of shared beach front, swimming pool, basketball courts and more. There is a path through woods to get to the pool or you can drive around the block and park. The walk is about a 5 to 10 minute walk. The walk to the beach is another 5 to 10 minute walk.

The guest contacted us regarding the linen smells - they had already stripped the bed and washed the comforter as it appeared a prior guest may have had an accident. This seemed to have resolved this unfortunate incident.

We were never made aware of the grill not working. We are happy to fix problems as they occasionally occur. The sooner we are made aware of the problem the sooner we can fix the problem.

Cable TV is not available at the property. Based on our guest feedback we have not added this feature. If the majority of our guests request a service such as cable TV we would certainly consider it.

The dumpster for trash is located near the club house - you can walk the path or drive the car around to unload the garbage.

Just AWESOME!

My husband and I, and our two young boys, stayed here in early June and this cabin is just beautiful!! It was very clean and well-kept. The home is basically 'in the woods' (you can just barely make out the other two homes on either side), so it's very quiet and peaceful. We loved the firepit and the HUGE sandbox for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked with glasses, dishes, utensils, etc. - you don't need to bring a thing with you but your food! Since it was early June, the weather didn't cooperate (it was cold/rainy), but we did go by the pool (it's heated, I'm told) and the clubhouse and the pool looked nice. You also have use of the 'beach,' although it's a VERY small area. You'd have better luck going to the beach by the lighthouse or across Silver Lake at the foot of the dunes. We would HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone interested in the Silver Lake area. Silver Lake, itself, isn't very big, so this location was perfect - just a few mins outside of the 'downtown' area. We absolutely LOVED it here!! :)
