The Smoky Mountains are beautiful and relaxing throughout all seasons. We invite you to come and enjoy the especial presence of our two-year old Cottage, on five wooded acres. Slick Rock Mountain is a residential, private community nestled on a 450-acre tract. A six-acre lake is a short walk from the cottage, where you and your family can swim, picnic, fish or just relax. The openness of this floor plan, offers a 20x20 Great room with stone fireplace, large kitchen with granite countertops, and everything you need to prepare a meal. Hardwood flooring and tile, present throughout the home. From most of the rooms, you can view the mountains and of special interest is a view of 'John's Rock'. We welcome you to try our Cottage and experience the beauty and comfort it affords. Lean back and enjoy nature on the front or back porches, where you can usually hear the wind whistling among the tall hardwoods. Our elevation is 3200 feet.

Approximately 10 minutes from Brevard & 45 min from Asheville Airport. Brevard is a quaint town with lots of activities going on such as antiquing, music concerts daily from mid June to early August, white squirrels, and fine restaurants. Transylvania County is known as the 'Land of Waterfalls' with over 250 waterfalls. Nature is everywhere. Nearly 45% of Transylvania County is covered by National and State Forests. There are 6 state and national parks and they are Great Smoky National Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, Nantahala National Forest, Caesars Head State Park, and Gorges State Park.
