This lovely cottage is an easy walk to the fun zone. There are so many flowers in the front yard! The kitchen is amazingly and thoroughly stocked. It irked me to pay for a $100 cleaning fee and then to also empty the trash and start laundering the sheets and towels before we left. That said, we did have a wonderful time here. If you are going with little ones, I recommend bringing a gate because the stairs are irresistible. Also, no high chair, etc.
We had a fantastic week at this beautiful little home. The place was full of character and had everything we needed. The garden and beach were a peaceful way to wake up every day. The beach is just steps away and the town of Santa Cruz had something for everyone. We were able to do a day up in San Francisco, a day in Monterey/Carmel, but the time in Santa Cruz was the best -exploring beaches, redwoods, town, great dining out, and the boardwalk! Laurie and Bill were wonderful hosts and more than hospitable. We can't wait to come back!
This is a beautiful place to stay! It is exceptionally clean and has absolutely everything you need. The owners have equipped the rental with many extras; kitchen paper products, spices, beach towels, beach chairs. The property is very well maintained with gorgeous gardens and a great patio.
The location is perfect. You are one house away from the beach and an easy to walk to restaurants. Santa Cruz is a great location for visiting The Redwoods, Monterey and Big Sur.
I give the hosts and Seabright Bungalow 5 Stars!
This home was immaculate and perfectly situated in a lovely neighborhood, steps from the beach or a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk or Seabright. At night with the windows open you could hear the sea lions barking at the pier and if the surf was big you could hear the waves crashing on the shore. The yard was beautifully landscaped. I regret missing the roses in bloom. The owners home adjoins the property. She was delightful and very accommodating with check in and check out times. I highly recommend visiting the Big Basin State Park. The redwoods are amazing. Dinner at La Posta was excellent as well as breakfasts at Linda's Seabreeze Cafe. On my next visit I will not hesitate to stay here again.
Perfectly situated, perfectly charming bungalow in a quiet, well-maintained neighborhood. This is a super fun rental with just the right mix of location, accommodating host-owners, clean and comfortable housing, and more than sufficient amenities. The house is sweet and super cozy. The kitchen is just the right size and has everything you need without unnecessary clutter. Laurie was responsive and reliable as a host-owner. Our security deposit was returned promptly. You will not find a more likable rental in Santa Cruz!
For a family vacation that meets many expectations of close to the beach, near the Boardwalk, an easy bike ride to downtown, or the harbor, this restored but very comfortable property fits the needs of our family of teens looking to be out and about, as well as adults who are looking for some downtime.
The owners are really helpful, and, although are in close proximity to the property, they are very respectful of privacy.
