Perfect Spot to do Portland

Location, location, location!! This is the perfect property from which to explore the unique environs of Portland. The unit size was perfect for two and is located very near the Steel Bridge. The patio was great for drinking morning coffee or evening wine while watching the river traffic. The twin spires of the convention center light up the skyline at night. While it was a new experience for someone who lives in a rural area to get used to the constant flow of commuter and freight trains, it certainly added to the urban feel of our stay.
The unit is perfectly situated for walking to many of the sights and scenes of Portland. We had a rental car from the first portion of our Oregon trip on the coast, but hardly moved the car during our stay. Henry's Tavern, Powell Books, the public library, the Shanghai Underground tour were all within easy walking distance. We drove to the Widmer Pubhouse only because we were were not sure of the safety of that particular neighborhood. We walked the Riverfront trail at all times of night and day for both exercise and romantic evenings. As avid hikers, we drove up to Washington for an 11 mile hike up to the shoulders of Mount St. Helens via the Ape Canyon Trail.
The unit is packed with all the expected amenities. WiFi access to the Internet, flat screen TV, plenty of towels and linens, and a fully stocked kitchen. The owner was very responsive and kept lines of communications open to make us feel assured that the trip would go without a hitch.
If you are seeking to experience the uniqueness of Portland's downtown, this is the perfect place for your stay!
