This elegant 5 bed, 4 bath private home is in West Bradenton - less than 10 minutes from the Island Beaches, Gulf of Mexico. The property is surrounded by tropical landscaping, has a heated swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. We have 12+ bikes (variety of sizes), a pool table, Foosball table, ping pong table, air hockey table, electronic darts, beach chairs, fishing equipment, large BBQ grill, pool and beach toys, beach towels, board games, tiki torches, and more. We even have a pontoon boat that you can rent for sight seeing, fishing, an island excursion - we have multiple routes / trips already planned that you can simply follow. The home was re-modeled in 2008, includes high-speed Internet, a computer - office area, local / 'free' long distance service. The property is within a 5 minute drive to a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, shops, movie theater, golf courses, bowling alleys, etc. This home offers everything for that well deserved 'executive' tropical vacation.

A great house for a great price.

This house was everything I hoped it would be and more. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful AND the house was beautiful and had plenty of space! There were 14 people in our group and it never felt crowded at all. We loved the backyard with the pool, hot tub and BBQ grill- those were all added bonuses. The house was exactly like it is described on the site and even better than that. (Not to mention the price is more than reasonable for a house this size!) When visiting staying in this house, I would recommend taking advantage of renting the owner's boat for a day. My group did that and we had a blast. Also, the beaches on Anna Maria Island are a little bigger than other beaches that are a little closer to the house, but is definitely worth the longer drive. Overall, this house provided everything I wanted in a vacation house and I would definitely recommend this house to any friends of mine traveling to this area in the future!

Wonderful, relaxing vacation retreat

Our party of 12 thoroughly enjoyed this vacation and home. There is more than enough room for everyone to stretch out and have their own space. The kids loved all of the amenities, we could not have asked for a more child friendly home, ages 6-15. Clean, well organized with everything we needed to stay entertained, go to the beach, cook dinner, grill out, etc. We also opted to go out on the boat for a day and took a recommended trip from the owner and had a fantastic day sightseeing, shelling, fishing and swimming. Best places to eat that we found kid friendly, Capalbos (best pizza ever!!), At the Pier on Anna Marie, and Anna Marie Oyster Bar. All were excellent and we would highly recommend! The owner Jack is a fantastic host and truly cares that the guests are having a wonderful time and enjoying their vacation. He was very helpful with helpful tips, suggestions, directions, etc. If we decide to return to this area for a vacation we would definately try to book on of the Townsend homes, we can't say enough about the personalized attention and accomodations that we received.
