The flyfishing at the Ranch is outstanding. Fish the 'big' Roaring Fork, various ponds, and miles of high-quality streams. My wife and I have lived in Denver since 1982. Our family, including our two daughters, have owned a condo in this development for 22 years. My daughters grew up vacationing in this development. Our family routinely uses this condominium.
John purchased this condo in 2008
We purchased a condo at the Ranch at Roaring Fork because it has all the outdoor activities we love and it is considered to have the best and most varied and extensive private flyfishing in the Aspen Valley, if not the state . We also love to ski Aspen and it takes 25 minutes is all to drive there. Our daughters love the Ranch--it is a great family getaway. Additionally, we love to sit on the patio overlooking the pond and enjoy the solitude and wildlife.
25 minutes from world class skiing, extraordinary flyfishing, tennis, golf, biking--all on the property.
Had a terrific visit as always. I couldn't keep the fish off my hook. It rained on and off on Tuesday and the brown trout went nuts. We really enjoy our time at your spot and now I'm hooked. I hope you're doing well and maybe we can arrange another visit later in the year.
We chose this rental because it looked like the perfect place for a family vacation near Carbondale. We made the reservation and put down our deposit. A month and a half before our stay, we were unexpectedly offered a house-sitting opportunity in Carbondale which gave us a place to stay for free. I was anxious about losing our deposit, but I didn't have to be. John, the owner, was understanding and happy to refund our money. That's not something you can count on these days and we are so appreciative of his flexibility we wanted to share our experience. Next time we need to rent a place in Carbondale, we will definitely choose this one.
We had a great 3 night stay. The condo was very well equipped, clean, comfortable beds and in a great location. We enjoyed being close enough to the touristy towns to be able to enjoy them while still sleeping in a nice quiet community.
Great place, beautiful views. Perfect for day trips up or down the Roaring Fork Valley.
The condo was very nice and made for a comfortable stay. The owners were very helpful by providing information about the area (e.g. restaurants and activties) and contacts in town which helped us plan our overall trip and setup our fishing trips. The owners were also very accessible during our stay and checked in to see how things were going and if we had any questions. You can't beat the location given all the activities (e.g. hiking, fishing, exploring the nearby towns, etc.).
Beautiful condo, beautiful surroundings. This is the second time that our family has spent spring break in this condo and plan to return again. Location is perfect for fishing, hiking, or just relaxing in the sun.
We had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean & available when we wanted to check in. The Roaring Fork ranch offers excellent trout fishing & hiking. The Ranch is close to Carbondale, Basalt, Aspen, Glenwood Springs, so lots to do.
