Life's a Beach at Sunset Isle over looking a wandering tidal creek that flows to the back river and then to the Atlantic Ocean.
Relax with incredible views and sunsets from 2 decks catching a glimpse of dancing dolphins and coastal birds feeding as nature abounds.
Enjoy crabbing, fishing, kayaking or small boating from the private floating dock.

Thanks Linda! We really enjoyed our stay. We really appreciate a place that we can bring our dogs w/ us. The location was perfect - peaceful & relaxing- Accessible to Savannah but away from the hustle & bustle of the city. As you already know there are great dining options in the area- we experienced both AJ's & Northbeach Grill (Easter Brunch was wonderful- they even had an amazing lobster salad!)
My husband, two dogs (Corgis) and I found our visit to Tybee Island very enjoyable and relaxing. Linda was very welcoming and helpful although we didn't get to meet her in person until our last day. Sunset Isle is in a very peaceful location with a lovely view of the Marsh; my only disappointment was not seeing any dolphins playing during our brief stay. Maybe next time. Our dogs even enjoyed laying out on the elevated deck taking in the sights and sounds of the Marsh. The unit was spacious and comfortable; we had everything that we needed available to us. We appreciated being able to walk to the beach (we were disappointed that the dogs were not allowed on the beach, but there were other places to walk them). We loved the island, the proximity to Savannah and our choice in lodging.....We look forward to a return visit.N
We booked the condo at Sunset Isle for three nights in March. It was exceptionally clean, and everything we needed was provided. The two beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and linens provided. The views from the deck will no doubt be gorgeous in late summer/early fall, but a bit cool and gray on this visit. The owner lives next door and was friendly and concerned about our comfort. Overall, a nice relaxing stay - we really enjoyed our Tybee Time!
My seven year old son and I just returned from a week's stay at Sunset Isle. The setting is beautiful with stunning sunsets and the peaceful marsh. Having vacationed on Tybee several times and always being right on the beach, this was our first go at staying on the marsh side. I was a little hesitant, as I considered it to be "off the beaten path." Linda reassured me that it was not and she was absolutely right. I forget how narrow Tybee is. The beach is four very short blocks away (a five minute walk.) and you can hear the ocean from the deck of Sunset Isle. Although we chose to sea kayak near the lighthouse, the winding creek takes you to the Tybee river (flows into the Atlantic) and would be an easy trip across to Little Tybee. Check it out on Google Earth. As mentioned, the location is central to many restaurants. We walked to the Sugar Shack for ice cream. Lighthouse Pizza does deliver and is delicious. The house itself is clean and in good repair. As mentioned in other reviews, the decor is somewhat tired and a little dated; however, as this property is pet friendly and very family friendly, it makes perfect sense. Sunset Isle is clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. As one of two townhomes, you do not feel as though you have a shared wall. It is very private, but great to know that the owner is right next door. We look forward to returning.
We absolutely loved Sunset Isle. We enjoyed being in a nice quiet location away from the traffic and tourist sites. It was so peaceful and relaxing. It had everything we could have possibly wanted and was extremely comfortable. Linda was an excellent host and we appreciate how flexible she was with our travel plans. We are already talking about coming back and would definitely choose this rental as our first choice. Loved the views, the quiet and the comforts of home.
This is the fourth time my family and I have stayed in this rental on the marsh side of Tybee Island. As always, it was great! You can't beat the location for a quiet time yet you still have a view of the water on the marsh. It is comfortable with all the amenities a person could want and affordable. Plus, you can bring a pet. This is important to us since we don't want to board my Mom's dog. By the way, Mom, who is 81 years young, comes to Tybee with my husband and I and she finds this place comfortable and serene too. The noisy beach is a short walk away and is fun to visit. It is nice to be able to escape the areas that are more populated and retreat to Sunset Isle.
The condo is on a point going out into the salt marsh. Very quiet, super nice to sit on the deck and enjoy to the tide coming in and out of the marsh. For those not familiar with salt marshes, they are not swamps, nor are they overrun with bugs. This condo is on somewhat of a point, and almost surrounded by marsh, so no mosquitos. Very pleasant.
The condo has everything needed for a nice stay. We had two adult couples and enjoyed having two bathrooms upstairs with the two bedrooms. It is furnished well, nothing fancy, but clean and well kept.
The owner lives next door, but we wouldn't have known it, except for a friendly wave as we passed coming and going.
You could walk to the beach to save the Tybee parking fee, but it is several blocks. We ended up paying the fee on one of the side streets because we haul so much gear down to the beach with us.
Tybee is an excellent place to vacation or do a quick get away. We did a day in Beaufort, a day in Savannah, say Ft. Jackson and of course the beach.
We would recommend the condo highly. Only slightly negative comment is that we really like to barbecue, and the charcoal grill really needs to be replaced.
