Enjoy the peaceful river view from a rocking chair on the large covered deck or wade fish the 90 foot of private river frontage just steps away at the River's Edge Retreat. The grassy lawn gradually slopes to the waters edge where you can wade fish early morning or evenings. This is the perfect place for a combination of floating and wade fishing.

River's Edge Retreat is a comfortable remodeled/updated home perfect for relaxing after a day of fly fishing the 'blue ribbon' waters of the Missouri River. The home is furnished in Montana fishing decor.

The master bedroom is furnished with a King size bed and an XL twin bed. The second bedroom features a double bed, an XL twin and an adjoining bathroom. The second full bath is just down the hall. Toiletries are provided.

Enjoy preparing dinner or breakfast in the large, convenient, fully equipped kitchen or grill your dinner on the gas grill on the covered patio, just off the deck. Choose to dine either inside or enjoy your meal at one of the tables on the covered deck overlooking the river. After dark, gather at the pub table and play one of your favorite card games or enjoy a movie on the DVD/TV. The leather sofa/sleeper in the living room can be used for additional sleeping accommodations.

Montana is known for it's outstanding dry fly fishing. With shallow water and thin, narrow islands to fish against, this is the perfect setting for your trout fishing experience. An ideal float is to put in at Craig or Stickney and float to the Rivers Edge Retreat, pull your boat up on the lawn for the night and head out the next day for Prewitt.

If you are in need of fly fishing lessons or a guided day on the river, please let us know and we can assist you with that aspect of your fly fishing experience.

There are restaurants in the area if you choose to dine out. Cascade (14 miles north on I-15) has a grocery store and gas station.

Craig (7 Miles), Hardy Creek(4 Miles), and Cascade (15 Miles) have Restaurants. Cascade also has Groceries, gas and a laundromat. Holter Lake (14 Miles)has Boating, Jet Skiing and Water Skiing.

Great Falls, Montana (Airport) - 45 Miles to the North and Helena (Airport) - 46 Miles to the South Are Major Cities on the Interstate with Museums, Theaters, Festivals Antiquing, and Golf and Shopping. Gates of the Mountains, seen first by Lewis and Clark is a 30 minute drive. Tour boats available May thru September.

Pleasant, clean property on river. It is a bit close to IH 90 but road noise wasn't terribly problematic. Well equipped , furniture and bedding new. Owners were helpful and worked hard to make sure our arrival check in was timely. Get your groceries in Helena or Great Falla and bring a phone card (no cell service). Would stay again the next time I'm in Craig.

The house was even better than expected with every convenience to make your stay perfect. We had
6 adults and our 20 month old granddaughter and we never were in each others way. Lots of sitting
areas and dinning areas and large yard with river access. Our boys fished down from the house on the river and caught a 5lb beautiful Brown trout. They have a picnic table down by the river which we utilized alot. There is also a nice covered patio with plenty of seating and several awesome rocking chairs we used to rock our granddaughter and Grandpa to sleep. We will definitely be back next year. Oh yeah...did I mention the fishing was excellent!!!!!
