On one of Lake Champlain's nicest sandy beaches, this older cottage is being totally renovated in spring 2009. Just minutes from Burlington's stores and restaurants, and within easy walking distance of the bike path, this Colchester Point property offers a staggering view of the broad lake, the Adirondecks and wonderful sunsets. Enjoy swimming 50 feet from your front door! Watch the kids play in the water while you sit on the screen porch.

Lake Champlain provides unlimited boating and fishing opportunities. The lake is more than 100 miles long and 11 miles across at the widest point (just below our cottage). While it is more than 300 feet deep in many parts, in front of our cottage there is a very gradual sandy bottom for several 100 feet, making it an ideal swimming location.

Further details for this vacation cottage rental in Colchester, Vermont

Under Renovation: Additional photos will be forth coming as renovations are completed. However, due to our winters, this will not happen until spring. Since we intend to be living in the cottage before the end of May there should be no problem in having the cottage ready for renting by the first week of July.

Sleeping Quarters: This is a small cottage. Bedrooms are big enough for beds and bureaus and not much else. The 'master' bedroom sleeps two in a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom has a single upper bunk bed with a double futon base bed. The living room will have a futon couch or sofa bed that sleeps two.

Boat Rides: While we will only leave a kayak for you to enjoy on your own. We also have an 18' pontoon boat and a 25' sailboat that you might be able to enjoy with our 'captaining.' Both are kept locally, but not right at the cottage. Ask us about this if you're interested, we'd be happy to oblige if we're available.

Golf: There are 3 public golf courses within 15 miles of the cottages (Essex, Lang Farm and Quinniaska). There are two private courses (Burlington and Vermont National).
