Alegranza is grand in San Jose

My husband and I stayed at the Alegranza for the month of January and we found this to be the perfect location for a family reunion with our children.
The condos are very spacious with top grade kitchen cupboards, and closets. Our unit had an island for prep work in the kitchen and a large dining room table. It was even better than the pictures showed us. Bathrooms are topnotch and like another room.
The property is well managed, clean, has friendly helpful staff, and the tropical gardens are manicured just so. Security guards keep you feeling safe and at ease.
Our huge balcony is added living space and a favourite spot to view the azure blue expanse of the Sea of Cortez. Bring your binoculars to watch the shrimp boats, pod of whales, horses on the beach, yachts, amazing sunrises aand even fireworks!! Enjoy walking the stone paths that lead to the three pools and two hot tubs amid colourful flowers and palms. Watch the bananas grow also. Daily blue sky is almost guaranteed. Bring a jacket, sweater or hoodie for early morning and evenings out.
The Alegria Restaurant on the property is a real bonus serving delicious meals. The location of the Alegranza is central to the beach, shopping, and the Plaza downtown where you can people watch or sit by the fountain. All four restaurants to the right at the bottom of the hill are excellent and you can be serenaded as you dine outdoors. In the downtown theTropicana Restaurant has a lively mariachi band and a ranchero singer to woo you in the evenings. Try the French pastry cafe on the side street by City Hall .
To save money on groceries visit the Waldo dollar store before going to either Leys or the Mega Mall. The American Hospital is just down the street for your needs. For a stunning lobby visit the Grand Mayan Hotel, (time shares only) and have lunch close to the beach, and visit their gift shop. Down the hill and to the left is a little gem of a coffee shop serving cakes and food where the T-shirt /gifts plaza is.
I could have stayed another month at the Alegranza as it soothed my soul and tantilized my senses. Come and experience it for yourself as you can have the charm of old Mexico, or savour the modern side too.
