GREAT VALUE HILLSIDE APARTMENT WITH PRIVATE PLUNGE POOL AND OCEAN VIEWS

As I was booking my vacation to St. Lucia, I wanted to stay away from the "resort life" atmosphere. I am so glad that I chose Karens hilltop apartment! This clean, large one bedroom (which we converted to two) apartment is within walking distance to several areas and attractions, or a short bus ride to Rodney Bay for shopping.My daughter and I took day trips to Rodney Bay , Rodney Bay marina, Pigeon Island, and twice to Cotton Beach. All of these trips were done walking-all good training for our final day when we climbed Gros Piton.The swimming pool was very refreshing after several of these 30C 86F days.
The small cell phone provided prooved very handy throughout the week,(only about 15cts.US per minute) as we booked a taxi a couple of times to do a 4-wheeler tour and to get to Pitons. The quality of this apartment FAR exceeds the price! I was very comfortable the entire week and would definately recommend this place to anybody and everybody who wants great value for their money. Again, I'm happy that I found this beautiful apartment, and Thank You very much Karen and Jerome for being such great hosts and making our stay in St. Lucia an unforgetable one!

What a perfect vacation rental! I don’t even know where to begin. The apartment itself has everything you need to relax, prepare a meal, and watch the sun set! The interior is very well decorated and very clean.

The kitchen has beautiful countertops and plenty of space. The stove works very well and everything needed to cook was there! As well plenty of dishes to serve from / eat off of. I don’t think we ever touched the stash of the local Piton beer that was chilled in the fridge, but the gesture was still very much appreciated.

The open floor plan also has a nice living room / seating area. Cable tv is there if you’d like to watch it.

Oh, must not forget to mention that the US compatible outlets were a great amenity as well. There are some in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom.

The bedroom has beautiful (and comfy) furniture and paintings. Very spa-like. The wardrobe in the bedroom has plenty of space to store your belongings – added bonus with the safe and plenty of hangers to hang all of your clothes. The A/C cools the room down very quickly. For the most part, the ceiling fans in the kitchen and bedroom are sufficient.

The bathroom was also very clean and was thankful that a hairdryer and extra linens were provided.

The view from the patio is absolutely gorgeous in its hillside setting. I’m sure the pool would be great on a warm day. Everything is very well maintained and clean.

The local cell phone that was provided was very convenient and provided a sense of security. The owners were fantastic! They are wonderful people and so incredibly helpful with even the smallest things. I must mention here that we also used the services of Jerome and his water taxi which was the BEST decision we made on the island. A separate review will be added to his Trip Advisor detailing that amazing day.

The Cas En Bas location of this apt is perfect – upscale part of the island, convenient to shopping and beautiful beaches all within a very short distance (we rented a 4x4 to get around). So happy we chose to stay here – no regrets, just complete gratitude for a wonderful stay. In my opinion, a great, economical alternative to the pricey resorts. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

There have been 50+ very positive reviews of Karen and Jerome's apartment and so there is little that we could add to encourage people to take advantage of this wonderful accommodation. Everything is as advertised including the friendliness and accessibility of the hosts. There are no surprises. We enjoyed being in a neighbourhood with all the sights and sounds of life going on around us and the people we passed on our walking excursions (or "boot camp" as one of us might have called it) were incredibly friendly and helpful. We did not hire a car but opted to walk or use the taxis and buses which served us very well.The buses are inexpensive and efficient - we travelled to Castries by bus and this just added to our St.Lucian experience. Donald of "Liquid SunshineTaxi" (whose phone number is programmed into the cell phone that Karen leaves in the apartment to be used by the tenants) was always available and was extremely punctual! We went out with Jerome on his boat (Israel King) down to the Pitons and did some snorkelling. This was one of the highlights of our trip. The pool was an added bonus and served as a welcome reward after walking up the hill while the afternoon breezes made sitting outside just a perfect way to spend the time before dinner. All in all - a most perfect vacation. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a self-catered holiday - in fact, I already have.
