One of the most unique custom homes in Big Sky this magnificent 4200 square foot, 5 bedroom 4 & 1/2 bathroom rustic design sits on the 16th fairway of the Big Sky Golf Course boasting spectacular views of the Spanish Peaks and Lone Mountain. Detailed craftsmanship is revealed in the reclaimed wood, log, and stonework throughout the inside and out of this home. The home was finished in 2006 and features all the conveniences of home. Three of the four bedrooms upstairs have queen beds and their own attached bathrooms. The fourth bedroom has a bunk bed (twin/double) with no attached bathroom. There is also a powder room upstairs for convenience. This house is close to everything at Big Sky. Big Sky Ski Resort is eight miles from the house and Moonlight Basin Ski Resort (opened in 2003) is only nine miles away. Big Sky Resort has 3500 acres of skiing with approximately 75 trails. Ski lift lines are almost non-existent as the Resort can handle 22,000 skiers a day. There is also cross-country skiing trails at Lone Mountain Ranch and the Big Sky Golf Course and for non-skiers, tubing/sledding is available at the Big Sky Resort. Snowmobile rentals are also availabe in the area. If you do not want to drive to the ski resort, the shuttle stop is 2 blocks from the house.
Summer is also a great time in Big Sky. One of the main things to do is to head to Yellowstone National Park which is only an hour away. Whitewater rafting and kayaking are other popular activities on the Gallatin River. Gondola rides to the top of Lone Mountain with or without your mountain bike and either hiking or biking back down is another fun thing to do. Of course, if you are a fly fisherman, Big Sky is one of the most centrally located places in Montana that offers a fantastic choice of rivers. The Gallatin is only three miles away. The Madison and waters of Yellowstone Park are an hour and a half south and the fabulous Yellowstone River is the same distance to the north and east. This is a fisherman's dream! There are a multitude of hiking opportunities within minutes of the house as well as horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

This home combines the rustic feel of a Montana cabin experience with all the creature comforts of home. The house it completely custom. The floors are rock and wood, the fireplaces are all rock and the attention to detail is just amazing. This is the best value for the money in Big Sky.
I rented this home for a fun long weekend of skiing with a couple friends. The owner was responsive and a pleasure to work with.
The house is beautiful. Log and stone construction with a great open kitchen/dining/living space and a nice fireplace. Bedrooms were well appointed, private, and the beds are really comfortable. There were only three of us, so we didn't use all of the home, but it is spacious and in addition to great common areas, it was easy to take a little down time in the home and feel comfortable.
It was a super comfortable base for us, as it was close to skiing, yet walkable to all of the Meadow Village. It was so nice to be able to walk to dinner and bars and not worry about driving. We cooked in one night and the kitchen was stocked with all the equipment that we needed.
I definitely recommend to groups of friends and families on ski trips!
This house, as advertized, is walking / bus distance from anything Big Sky has to offer. We were especially impressed with the radiant floors and the resulting comfort during consecutive sub zero days. Owner was extremely responsive to all inquires. We will be back!
This house exceeds the description. Our family gathered there to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and we could not have selected a better house or location. There are four private bathrooms in four of the bedrooms, providing privacy for couples. Loved the many specialized activity areas, such as the chess/checker table in front of a small fireplace and the comfortable chair in the Library area. The great room is open and spacious with great western decorating. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped for cooking for a large group. All appliances are newer. Loved the wine cooling refrigerator. The basement game area provided hours of pastime for the pre-teen grandsons. The house was clean and well maintained. The caregiver stopped by to check that all was O.K. and left a contact number in case anything went wrong which we appreciated. The location is great, just across the street from a small shopping area. Also close to all the activities that Big Sky offers, hiking, golf, rafting, fly fishing, zip lining and eating establishments. The outdoor patio is great with its view of Lone Mountain and the up close and personal view of the golf course. The house is surprisingly quiet even with all bedrooms occupied which invites a good night's sleep. We would love to return to this house again in the future. We highly recommend it.

We just finished a trip to big sky over the fourth of July and stayed in this house. Simply put, it was amazing. It's a very unique blend of country cabin and modern convenience. Several in our family went from room to room admiring the decor. The location was perfect-very close to shopping and conveniences, right on the golf course, and a quick drive to the slopes. The owners were easy to work with. My only hesitation in sharing how amazing the place was is that it might be more difficult to get next time around.
C'est la vie.
My family has stayed here four times in the past four years. We have stayed here during both ski season and summer season. In short - we love this place and we never want to go home at the end of our trips!
It is very spacious and comfortable for our family of 7. Some of the highlights of what we like best about the home are:
-great kitchen for cooking (big stove & oven, fridge, wine fridge, pots, pans, seasonings, everything you need to cook great meals).
-5 bedrooms, 4 of which have their own bathroom.
-the whole house is very nicely finished. Very impressive stone work, wood work, and decorations.
-heated garage that our truck can fit into with the thule on top.
-great views of the mountains.
This house does not feel like a rental property, it feels like a house that a friend is letting you borrow. This house is a very good value in our opinion and if you choose to stay here, you will not be disappointed!
Just got back from a guys only ski trip and trauma course and had the privilege of staying in this beautiful this rustic Meadow Village private rental. Very roomy for 6 guys, photos do not do this place justice. Outstanding decor inside with breathtaking mountain views outside. Plenty of space to relax, play pool, watch TV, enjoy the multiple fireplaces. The kitchen was so well done, we forgot about eating out most nights and dined like kings on our own fare from the nearby grocery. Seconds away from great restaurants, shopping and groceries. Easy drive in to Big Sky resort for recreation and conference. To top it all of...the renter is a pleasure work with.
Truth be told, on more than one occasion a guy in my group would pull me aside to tell me how pleased they were with the accommodations...made me feel like the hero of our trip!
You can't go wrong with this property. We will return!
