We just returned from a marvelous vacation in Punta de Mita in April and we decided to rent this condo over the big hotels. I was traveling with my parents, my children (ages 10, 7 and 4) and a friend. It couldn't have been better for our kids. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the concierge who had already done our grocery shopping for the week (they had provided a grocery list that I filled out). You pay for the groceries and a small fee for the service. She also explained where things were, etc. The condo was great! Extremely clean and very nicely decorated. Three large bedrooms and also a laundry room where are bunk beds, but we didn't need that. The pools are right out and down from the condo. It's small, but perfect for our kids and it was basically empty daily. Then, it is oceanfront, but the beach here is very rocky. It's fun to dig, but swimming proved challenging without water shoes. Included in the rental was the 6 person golf cart, which is all you really need. We had rented a car, but you probably wouldn't need one. The golf cart works all over Punta de Mita, including into the little town next door. You can get to the resident's club, the Four Seasons, the St. Regis, the fitness centre/Tennis courts all by the golf cart. Because the concierge had stocked us full of food, there was no reason to go to the big grocery store, the little convienent stores in town are fine for juice, milk, beer, etc. The town also, right next to the condo has amazing restaurants that you can walk down the beach too. Good ones included, Si Senor, Rosa Mexicana, and Casa Teresa. Last, but not least was Berta the Housekeeper! She was great. She came everyday but Sunday to make beds, clean up, make breakfast and/or lunch, do laundry, sweep and make awesome towel animals -- which the kids loved. She doesn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish, but we all figured it out between gestures and Googling Spanish translations (and big smiles). All in all, it was a wonderful place, an amazing condo and one we hope to visit again.
