PEACEFUL & HEAVENLY

Peaceful & Heavenly
  • 5 of 5
I wish to add to Lynn D's comments because I was also a guest with her and her family. She covered lots that the cabin was beautiful, spotless, we'll stocked. The view was breathtaking to me and to hear the creek running on the other side was just soothing to me. It's nicely located for the outings we had planned. The beds were very, very comfortable also. The owners had the wood stove going when we arrived which added a nice touch to us walking in. The owners stopped by to show us a few things and they were available if we needed them. It was my first trip to AK and it won't be my last. Definitely recommend Willow Creek Inn!!!!! Totally enjoyed my stay there and was sad to leave it. Thank you to the owners for sharing this piece of heaven.

AMAZING

  • 5 of 5
My family and I stayed for 3 nights and could not have been more pleased with the cabin. Super clean, super organized, and very very well stocked from every cooking utensil you could need to books and even binoculars. We stayed at the begiinning of spring so there was still some snow and the creek was still frozen but that didnt stop us from exploring...it actually added to the fun for us. The location is remote enough to feel private but not so remote that you cant run to the store if needed. The location of the cabin also works very well for a basecamp for one day trips to Talkeetna and Denali Natl Park. Overall, just a great place to stay and without a doubt a place we will be returning to asap. Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN ON WILLOW CREEK!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I were so happy that we found this beautiful cabin to stay in during what, so far, has been a trip for a lifetime. The cabin and property are exactly as advertised and more. It is a true home with all the amenities one could wish to have. We found every room to be spotless. The owners were very warm and inviting to us. We were pleased from the first minute when they left the key for us when they were unable to meet with us in person on day one. We especially enjoyed the use of the fishing poles and tackle box. This saved us from having to check these items on the plane. We never caught a fish, but we caught Alaska fever.....and it is a keeper. We spent many hours sitting on the sand bars of the creek. We panned for gold, we set up a pile of rocks to form a make-shift table where our daughter sat and colored while we listened to the river flowing by. It was just incredible to have such privacy and feel so secure. The game closet was such a nice touch , too. We enjoyed trying out many of the games. This gave us all a chance to slow down and savor our family time together. Great memories.
The location was perfect. We made day trips to Denali National Park, Talkeetna, Palmer, Wasilla, Matanuska Glacier, the Muskox Farm, the Reindeer Farm and to many parks and lakes nearby. Every night ( well, every day after 8 pm....it was daylight nearly 24 hours) we returned to the cabin to sleep in heavenly beds. Our only regret was having to give the key back on the day we checked out. We will never forget this trip. I would recommend staying in this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in a glorious place in Alaska.
It was truly our little piece of Heaven for a week. We will be back to Alaska one day, and this will be the first place we will try to book when we make our plans.

RIVERFRONT PROPERTY WITH A GREAT VIEW!

  • 5 of 5
We enjoyed two nights during the winter. It was cozy and warm with the wood stove and Toyo stove. Our rooms had nice covers with an extra blanket and the attention to details like chilled glasses in the freezer and ice ready for blending a fruit drink. It was perfect get away place. We walked on the river ice and could hear the sounds of water flowing underneath as the big bright moon illuminated the white landscape. I would recommend this experience for those who enjoy getting away and having peace and quiet. I was lucky to find the Santa Crafts show at the Community Center with lots of wood working, knitting and great Christmas gifts. Even the local Art Gallery was showing many artists from the area. Willow is a wonderful place filled with lots of friendly people. Come and visit their quiet neck of the woods.

THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR ALASKA TRIP.

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here after a week cruise and next time we will just skip the cruise and hopefully spend more time here. We only had three nights to stay here, but it will long be remembered as the best three nights of our lives. Paul and Ginny were the perfect hosts. The cabin is well stocked, the beds are wonderful and the setting is so tranquil we didn't want to leave. Sleeping with the windows open to hear the gentle flow of the river is an experience in itself.
The cabin is so secluded you think that the rest of the world is a million miles away, but if you need anything, a convience store is just down the road and Wal-Mart is a short drive away.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here and the use of your gold pans. Although microscopic, I actually found a few "nuggets"!!
