Winter Activities: The house is a little father from Hunter than some (40 minutes) so that is reflected in the price. Still, the beauty and spaciousness of the house should be a consideration. On rain days when skiing isn't available, you'll be happy to be in a house with so many places to gather, such a nice large kitchen to cook and gather in, the library of DVD's, the high speed y-fi internet, the stock of books and games, the bird feeders outside the great room windows, and the great room itself -- a place where a large group can gather comfortably. The Coxsackie Antique Center is 15 minutes away -- it has over 100 dealers in 15,000 s.f. of space, open daily until 8 pm.

Summer Activities: Tanglewood Summer home of the Boston, Symphony and various concert programs is 1.25 hrs. away. Hiking and all of the sites and activities in the Catskills, from fly fishing to boating are within an easy drive. The Saratoga Racetrack, the finest in the United States has thoroughbred races from July 29th to September 7th. Catskill Mountain Balloon offers hot air balloon rides and training nearby. There are a number of rustic golf courses nearby (within 5-10 miles) with rolling hills and modest greens fees. And there is horseback riding in the vicinity.
