Entire dwelling is well appointed with Hickory Chair and antique furnishings throughout, and all 3 bedrooms come furnished with queen size beds. Extremely convenient location... only 2 blocks from Union Station and Metro, 1 and a half blocks from Massachusetts Avenue restaurants/bars and local coffeehouses, and 6 blocks or less from the US Capitol, Senate office buildings, Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. Easy walk to the Mall and Smithsonian museums. Pentagon, Arlington, Dupont Circle and Georgetown are a quick and easy commute via Metro.
PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay. Garage parking for additional vehicles is available 3 blocks away for $15 per day.

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!
No expense was spared in remodeling and furnishing this house. You will be staying in an historic home complete with modern amenities. Location-wise, everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) is within 2 blocks and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Smithsonian museums) is just a few blocks further and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!
This house is comfortable, clean, and beautifully furnished. Safe and quiet neighborhood, conveniently located near the Metro and the Capitol. As a startup company, we can't afford corporate hotel rates, but this hotel was only a $10 cab ride to the Washington Convention Center. Cost effective way for four company employees to attend a conference.
You couldn't ask for a better location if you are in DC to see DC! All the sights are close at hand either by walking or by hoping the metro at Union Station just around the corner. There is a grocery close by, a pub and a great pizza place that delivers! The house is on a quiet street, it's clean, comfortable and beautiful! It was a great place to come 'home' each evening after spending our days touring this great city! Would definitely revisit and recommend to anyone planning a stay in the city.
This was a wonderful option for our family with teenagers and we would all love to return to Washington DC and this beautiful property again! The location was wonderful, the house was exactly as described and the large washing machine and clothes dryer was very welcome. Thank you David for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
Highly recommend this wonderful place. Nice location, clean and well decorated.Most importantly, it was just as described. We arrived in DC a littler early and owner was able to get us access which was very accommodating.
Unit was very accessible to DC sites and Metro. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Lincoln was a great dog. On the whole, definitely as advertised and would visit here again. Thanks Dave.
While searching on line for a rental in DC, you never quite know what you will find when you arrive. As soon as we opened the door to David's home we were thrilled. The house is clean, beautiful, spacious and in walking distance to everything. There is an Acme grocery store a few blocks away where we purchased breakfast and dinner items. It was great coming home after a busy touring day and be able to relax. We used the Hop on Hop off bus which we got right in front of Union Station. David was on a business trip but we did get to meet him briefly and if we had any questions we just had to send him an email which was answered immediately. There is also a parking garage two blocks away for $15.per night. We were five adults, two from Cornwall, England. Thank you David for sharing your lovely home with us.
