My family has come to MB for vacation for many years. Mostly, we stayed in Surfside or Garden City. We wanted to try something news like 10 swimming pool, bowling.... That's why we selected this resort.
The resort is ok. The checking process is quick and easy. The staff is friendly. The resort has many activities during the day and they are the same everyday: one man band by noon, live band in the afternoon, karaoke in the evening until 11:30 pm. Some guests have a wonderful voice. The others were not that good but it is fun. We stayed on the 6th floor and all the noise from those activities did not bother us at all. The resort has 10 swimming pools but I believe only 2 should be called pools (outdoor, indoor). The rests are hot tubs, lazy river (that is a joke but it's ok), kiddies. We did not try the food there but buy looking at the menu; I think it’s expensive to me. Internet is free but you have to bring your laptop to the lobby or the 6th floor in order to have the connection. Parking was a problem for me. We have been told that "you've rather not parked on top to make space for bigger cars". However, I still parked my van there since I saw all kind of cars parked there. Next day, a tow warning ticket was placed on my windshield. I then moved to the underground parking. It was actually much better there especially for hot summer days. However, I wish that the resort handled the situation in a better manner. A tow warning ticket really insulted me. I did suggest the resort to issue an assigned parking rather than ticketed their guests. They told me they have never towed any guest's car anyway. I suggest that you just park underground if you can to avoid problem and you will love it.
The unit we were in did not wow us much. There is only 1 TV set. I can't believe only 1 TV set available for a one bedroom suite now a day. Other units owned by the resort do come with 2 TV sets. My kids were upset since they had to share TV and fight for the program to watch. In addition, the kitchen set: plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, pots were barely minimum. I don't think that will cost a lot of money to furnish an extra TV and some kitchen set. The best thing about this unit is it locates on the 6th floor where we have a convenience store and it is the area that you can bring your laptop in for better connection.
We love MB and we will come back again next year. We might try some different places.
