A Wonderful Getaway

After a vacation-less summer, I decided to take a last-second one-week vacation in November in Hilton Head Island - my first ever visit there. It definitely will not be my last.
Words and pictures alone cannot describe this beautiful vacation home - you have to be here to experience it. Immaculate, with all the modern amenities you could ever need. Susan was absolutely wonderful in helping to make the arrangements for our stay on such short notice and for providing useful information about things to do on the island.
Highlights of our stay - besides the acorns and pine cones that rained relentlessly on the roof (it WAS autumn) and riding a bicycle for the first time in 17 years - were the two cute little lizards that got into the house and hid underneath the refrigerator, a result of us leaving the sliding door open. (Don't worry Susan...there were definitely only two...I caught them and released them on the back deck!)
My only disappointment was having to leave...one week was definitely too short, especially after long 15-hour round-trip drives between Hilton Head and New York. I would definitely love to come back and rent this property for two weeks, time and money permitting. For any prospective renters out there reading this review, in choosing this vacation home as a rental, you will not be disappointed.
