Overview

Bartlett House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 7

Custom-built cedar home with southern exposure and beautiful views of the mountains. Located just over the North Conway line off the Intervale Resort Loop, it's near all the Mt Washington Valley attractions but is private and away from the crowds. Great get-away spot.

Activities and attractions : This is a great 4-season vacation spot. Wake to the sight of the sun rising over Bartlett Mountain and watchthe seasons change from the Attitach area, across the Moats, the Ledges, and southerly all the way to Chicora.

There is something for everyone here, almost limitless hiking and nature trails, plus golf and fishing. Mount Washington and Pinkham Notch, Kancamagus Highway, Cathedral Ledge, Echo Lake State Forest are all nearby. Discount Outlet shopping in North Conway is down the road.

In winter, you have skiing at a choice of resorts. You can almost walk to Mt Cranmore, while Attitash, Wild Cat, Bretton Woods, and others are a short drive. There is also skating, tubing, ice fishing, snowmobiling. For the kids, almost round the corner are Story Land, Conway Scenic Rail Road, a mini-railroad, and a huge park/playground with skating in the winter.'ThePolar Express' runs for the kids in December.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR SPRING AND SUMMER, 2015: Beechwoods is a growing community. During the spring of 2015, there is planned home construction. It is expected construction will be completed before the summer season, but we feel obligated to advise any potential renters that delays are always a possibility.

If construction does extend into the summer months, the mountain views from our home (#9) will not be affected, and the only construction activity visible from #9 is one lot in the lower section. The upper portion (2 lots planned) cannot be seen from our home.

If you do chose to accept the risk that construction activity may extend into your vacation period, and if it happens and you feel your enjoyment has been in any way curtailed, we will offer a refund of $400 off the weekly rental price and gladly insert that into the rental agreement.

Wonderful month........

  • 5 of 5

We rented for the month of March. It was home away from home. It was very clean and well maintained. Great location....short driving distance to a variety of ski areas as well as great local shops and restaurants. The owners were very prompt in answering any questions we had and were great to deal with. We absolutely recommend, it was a perfect fit for our family of four.

Enjoyable Holiday Weekend

  • 4 of 5

The Bartlett House was clean and well-maintained. The location was great-away from the congestion in North Conway yet close to area attractions. Practically everything you need for meal preparation is provided. My only beef was having to pay extra for linens! Mike Horrigan provided detailed instructions on how everything worked as well as some good restaurant and site seeing recommendations. Overall, we had a great stay and can recommend the Bartlett House to others.

wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to the Horringtons. We arrived to an awesome house that was clean and comfortable . The views of the Mys. are breathtaking . We were blessed to see God,s creation in its fullness. We also saw a bear, silver fox and many huge turkeys that paraded past the house everyday. The house is secluded yet close to everything . There great eating places (we loved Yesterday's) Country stores and of course North Conway with it's outlet stores mini golf course, Christmas Tree Store, etc. etc. We loved going into Jackson NH which is just a very short ride up the road. The covered bridge is so typical of NH, The White Mt. Puzzle Store and many cute places to see as you stroll around this little town.

The house is just as described plus more. The bedrooms were nice sizes, the bathrooms were large. The showers were wonderful. There was never a lack of hot water. There were four adults and when we wanted to have our quiet times we could all be alone. The front deck was great for just sitting and taking in all and using the grill for the wonderful meals we had

Mike was always available when we were looking for a rental. He returned our e=mails and phone calls quickly and was so helpful in giving us instructions and directions. Thank you Mike. We sure hope we can return some time soon.

Our rating is 5+. If you rentl this home you will not be disappointed.

Ski Week

  • 5 of 5

Rented the house for a week of skiing. No complaints. Owners were very pleasant to work with. House was warm and inviting. Description was accurate, property was clean. Location is perfect, just off the main drag, but not too far off. Dined out: RedParka Pub, Yesterday's for breakfast (a must), Maestro's, Scarecrow Pub (drinks are reasonably priced), Flatbread Pizza @ the Eastern Slope Inn, Horsefeather's, Tuckerman's Tavern and Black cap grille... All great! Cooked in: Kitchen is great. Skied @ Attitash, great grooming.

One suggestion: upgrade the TV.

Thanks for a great week. I'd most definately rent here again.

A blast at New Year's!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the New Year's holiday at the house with a couple of our closest friends and we had an absolute blast. The house itself is immaculate and very welcoming, but that's just the start. The real gem of this cedar beauty is its location - close enough to the mountains so our friends could go skiing one day, and close enough to North Conway to drive in for a quick shopping trip or a few drinks at the Moat or McGrath's. We definitely recommend a stay here, and we're hoping to make the trip north a New Year's tradition!

Great getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four loved our White Mountains experience in Bartlett this year.

The house is well situated, clean and spacious. We hiked a trail situated in the mountain just behind the house. The view is great. We loved the gas fireplace and the wifi. Very comfortable beds.

In short, we were sad the leave the place on jan. 5th 2013!

Great contact and service from the owner.

Will recommend to my friends.

Intervale is the southern section of Bartlett, just north of North Conway. It is beyond the bustle of the outlet district yet close enough to to shop. At the southern point of the White mountains, the house offers stunning views of the Ledges, the Moat mountains south to Chicoura and north as far as Attitash. The surroundings are quiet, yet very busy with wildlife. Birders and animal lovers are delighted in the variety that goes from hummingbirds to black bear sightings.

Other Activities: Literacy Foundations' 100-Acre Wood, C-ctry ski, Hiking, Snowmobiling, snowshoeing,

Summer activities include hiking, swimming, cave exploration, MT Washington Observatory, waterslides at nearby mountains, Storyland, golf....

Golf: We like Eagle Mountain, and Wentworth in Jackson, as well as Hale's Location, all a few minutes drive from the house.

Travelimg home, we like to stop at Indian Mound fora quick 9 to break up the ride.

Ski: Minutes from Cranmore and Attitash for family ski and lessons.

15 minutes to 40 minutes to Wildcat, Cannon, and Bretton Woods for more experienced skiers. Literacy Foundations' 100-Acre Wood, C-ctry ski, Hiking, Snowmobiling, snowshoeing.....
