love being on the ocean!

I've stayed here several times now, and every time, I'm amazed at how close the ocean is outside the door. We've stayed here as a couple, with friends, and now with our baby, and the house has been perfect for each situation. It's great having so many bathrooms and bedrooms, but we spent all the time in the common space with the giant windows or out on the deck in the sun, and my daughter played in the little baby pool on the deck. The kitchen was well-equipped, and each time we come here, it seems like there has been some kind of update--fresh paint, new decorations, etc. We took tons of walks out in the sand, enjoyed stargazing from the top deck at night, and just relaxed in this simple, clean, comfortable space. Can't wait to come back! Oh, and we tried a couple new activities this time...the aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is about 15 minutes away, and there are some hiking trails through salt marsh forest nearby, too, that make good outings for families when it's too cold to be out on the beach.
