Together with my wife, we spent six incredible days in Aruba. We stayed at Crystal Beach Villa and had a great time. The view from the terrace was priceless!!!
It's a perfect location for people seeking quite beaches and great snorkeling! The villa is in immaculate condition and is very well equipped; steps from the Arashi beach and a short drive to the high-rise hotels, downtown and grocery stores (Super Foods etc). We'd recommend renting a car to fully explore the island but it's not really necessary if one wants to simply relax on the beach... There is also a bus stop right next to the villa, though never used it. Viola and her family are great and very helpful when needed. Looking forward to seeing Aruba again..........................

We were visiting Aruba for a "babymoon," our last big beach vacation as a couple before our baby arrived. Our accommodations were very nice, comfortable and clean. We very much enjoyed the quiet residential location of the property as we were more interested in being close to the best snorkeling areas, rather than being close to the strip where all the highrises are located. There are three beaches within a short walking distance and we had great snorkeling adventures daily. Viola provided all of the snorkeling gear for a minimal fee for the week ($15).

We chose not to rent a car, as one can flag down the bus at any location for a very minimal fee; the bus can take you to the highrise district or downtown. Be aware that buses do stop running in the evening hours before you may want to come home, so then a taxi is a must to return. Still, we found it easy to get to where we needed to go via bus or taxi, and there is a phone available for use in the foyer if you need to call a cab, as well as a yellow pages and a bus schedule. Viola will also help with restaurant reservations and recommendations if needed.

We enjoyed having a full kitchen so that we could eat at our leisure if we wanted to, rather than go out. We took a bus to the grocery store (Super Food), right on the main street only minutes from the house, then the folks at the grocery store offered to call a cab for our return trip since we were traveling with perishables. The locals were friendly and accommodating.

A testament to how friendly and accommodating Viola was can be illustrated by this story... although this was supposed to be our babymoon, our unborn son had a different idea. I went into labor almost ten weeks early and needed to get to the hospital. Viola loaned us her personal car so my husband could get me to the hospital, then continued to loan it to him so that he could visit me during the two and a half days I was there. (We had great care at the hospital and they arrested my contractions until I could get home to the USA to deliver our baby.) She went out of her way to support us in our surprising time of need.

We would definitely stay with Viola and her family again. They were great hosts... there when you needed something, yet provided you with the utmost privacy if that's what you wanted. We highly recommend their property and hope to return someday to show our son where he was almost born!

Just returned this past Monday from a 10 day stay at the studio. My friend and I were on a girls getaway and this place was perfect. Very safe area for two women. Viola the owner was kind enough to take us out when we arrived to the supermarket so we could get some stuff we needed. We loved sitting right outside looking at the beautiful gardens in the morning with our coffee. We opted not to rent a car and were able to take a bus right across the street which came every hour. The snorkeling beach is right across the street and Arashi beach about a half block away. I would definitely rent this unit again.
