Everything we wanted in a rental and then some!

We have rented vacation homes in Florida over the past several years and have become very familiar with what to expect and not to expect when renting. This was our first time renting directly from an owner and it was an extremely positive experience - Sue is exceptionally well organized and professional - this is reflected in all communication, rental procedures, and organization within the home.
We were surprised and pleased to find that many of the extras were provided in this villa that are usually the responsibility of the renter - little things that save a trip to the grocery store (shampoo, soap, garbage bags, dishwasher soap, and other cleaning supplies). These may seem like little things but quickly add up when they have to be purchased and subsequently left behind at the end of the trip. The "guest cleaning supply box" is a fantastic idea and shows real understanding on Sue and Gerry's part of how the little things can make a difference. It was nice to leave laundry soap behind knowing someone else would benefit. Had we checked it before grocery shopping we would have found some already in the box. In addition, there was a large DVD collection, a small library with children's books, novels, and tour books, PS2 games, and board games availble. Once again, little things that make for a pleasanter stay.
The house is beautifully decorated, well laid out and maintained. The pictures do not do it justice. Our family of four had plenty of space with room to spare. The pool (once the heating problem was handled) was enjoyed by everyone. The management company and Sue quickly responded to our pool heat problem and we were compensated for lost time (a first for us).
The home is located on the 27 which makes it very convenient to reach restaurants, grocery stores, shopping malls, and of course the amusement parks.
The cleaning staff left interior and exterior lights on for our late night arrival - a pleasant change from trying to enter a code by the light of a cell phone :) ( Sue provided us with the option of getting the code prior to our arrival so we did not have to make a trip to an office on our arrival.)
This is a home owner who seems to have thought of everything that a renter would want.
We will be back.
