Available for ACL Music Fest! Your Austin vacation spot has never been so convenient and comfortable... This two bedroom, two bathroom, 1,475 square foot home was originally built in 1915. It was completely remodeled in 2001 and then again in 2007. It is designed to maintain its old world charm while providing modern day amenities. This home is three blocks east of downtown Austin. It is bright and airy with ten foot ceilings throughout and many windows for natural lighting. A mere six blocks away from Austin’s famous Sixth Street entertainment district and within walking distance to fine dining, coffee houses and art galleries. Did we mention that the University of Texas at Austin is a short 1.5 mile jaunt where you can enjoy all of UT’s athletic events.

However you decide to spend your time in Austin, the charm of the home and special location will guarantee a fabulous experience.

This home is located in an eclectic neighborhood. This area immediately east of downtown Austin is home to many local artists, musicians, unique establishments and renovation projects. There is a church across the street and many long time residents on the block. There is a dilapidated home on the corner and a four-plex to one side of the property. All the neighbors are wonderful and friendly. If you are looking for a “Leave It to Beaver” neighborhood, this may not be for you. If you are looking for an enchanting dwelling with close proximity to everything Austin has to offer, this is definitely the place!

I loved my March 2008 stay at 1111 E 3rd ... the house is beautifully restored with the most modern of comforts/amenities. It's nestled in a quiet and eclectic urban neighborhood that is a pleasant walk to both Town Lake and the heart of the downtown Austin club scene, a combination that makes it ideal for spirited rest and relaxation. Casual mornings got rolling at an excellent coffee house just blocks away. Afternoons breezed by in the shade of the big front porch. Stepping out into the evening music buzz never involved cars, traffic, or parking ... just a fresh walk into the night air filled with people, sights and all those great Austin sounds. Enjoy, explore and unwind!
