Additional information about rental rates

  • Monthly rate applies to rental periods of two months or longer
  • For Visa Credit Card Payments a handling fee of 2.5% will be applied. For AMEX Credit Card Payments a handling fee of 3.5% handling fee will be applied. Please advise on form of payment when making a reservation so the invoice can prepared accordingly.

    Long term rent rate applies to periods of 2 months or longer; daily rate for groups of 3- 4 add $25 p/d

    Cancellation Policy. In the event of cancellation within 2 weeks of arrival or in the event of an early departure, the Tenant (s) will not be reimbursed for monies already paid to the Oxford Apartments. It is at the Landlord’s discretion as to whether a deposit is reimbursed in such case. All other cancellations, which are over 2 weeks from the arrival date are refundable but are subject to a $100 cancellation fee. This can be used as credit towards any future booking made by the same client within six months of the cancellation.

Definitely a winner in my book

Lots of space and sun in this apt. We loved the view (yes, there is a small view from the 1st floor apartment) towards San Francisco and the palm trees outside from the couch every afternoon. We stayed here two nights in March 2009 after a two months journey and the location of this place made it possible to go sightseeing in Berkeley by foot in the morning, swing by to relax a couple of hours, and go out for dinner in the evening, fantastic.

Another great thing was that Ada the owner was very helpful and flexible with us.

The kitchen has all you need and more, though we didn't use it much with the Gourmet Ghetto so close. Heaters made the temperature comfortable. This is an old apt - some might find it a little worn out or old fashioned (all furniture is new though) but we kinda liked the feel of an old Berkeley place. I give it four stars, to earn the five stars, in my opinion, it would need a renovation and a king size bed in the bedroom in stead of a queen.

Excellent Place to Stay

This apartment is the perfect place to stay for a long or short visit to Berkeley. It's conveniently located, has a fully equipped kitchen, is thoughtfully furnished for the comfort of guests, clean and well maintained, and with no sacrifice of amenities, it is very reasonably priced. But even more, the service is extraordinary. When we arrived late in the evening, the renter was at the apartment to greet us personally. She showed us around, answered all of our questions, offered to get anything we needed that was not already there, and then drove us to a nearby supermarket to buy some breakfast food. I've stayed in many temporary rentals in Berkeley and elsewhere and have never had a greeting like this. It was the best, and I think that any individual person, couple, group of friends, or family could not do better than to stay here.
