Outstanding lake views and access. Lake Ann is 527 acres of beautiful water with access to another lake by connecting Platte River through which it flows. It is rated as the top fishing lake in Benzie County and yet allows for many other kinds of simultaneous recreational uses. Virtually all species of freshwater fish are found here. There are only two other public accesses on this pristine lake. It is also fed by Ransom Creek which flows through a recreational hiking area and Preserve. The cottage itself is set on over two acres of land with 170 feet of Lake Ann Shoreline off Birch Glen Road. It is less than two miles from the charming village of Lake Ann which has a church, bank, restaurant, library, park, museum, tennis courts,professional offices, pizza place, Post Office, grocery and general store. State Forest land is within easy walking distance. Traverse City, with its many shops, theaters and restaurants is only 13 miles to the east.

The cottage is located within minutes of the National Music Camp at Interlochen which has a full summer program of world renown entertainers. Close by are many golf courses, farm markets, cherry orchards and award winning wineries. It is within thirty minutes of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Crystal Mountain Resort, Fishtown in Leland and Traverse City itself. Traverse City is the home of the National Cherry Festival and the world famous Traverse City Film Festival with it's first run movies. Charter fishing and sailing are within twenty minutes. Many well known writers and artists live in the nearby Leelanau Peninsula. The area is unrivaled in the State for its many lakes, majestic Lake Michigan shoreline, State Parks and rural farmland. The cottage is only ten minutes from Moomers, voted by ABC as the best hand dipped ice cream in the USA.

The cleaning/ damage deposit is refundable within 5 days after cottage use. Cancellation within 60 days of your reservation, 90% of amount paid is refunded: Cancellation within 30 days of the reservation, 50% refundable: Within 15 days of the reservation, non refundable. If we are able to rebook a client in your canceled period, we will refund all your payments except for a $50 rebooking fee. We prefer all payments paid by credit or debit card.

  • New mattresses and linens. Each bedroom has windows and carpeted floors as well as their own closets and dressers. The cottage has central heating and central air conditioning. We have completely remodeled the bathrooms with new fixtures and newly tiled floors. Cable TV, DVD player and WiFi. The screened in porch is carpeted for a living room like feel with a fabulous view of the lake and sunsets. We have a fully functioning wood burning fire place.

Notes: This cottage has a large screened in attached porch with table and chairs for 8 people. It is very private with its own dock, fire ring and beach chairs. In front of the cottage, there is a nice lawn for croquet, badminton and lawn games. We also have a clothes line at the end of the lawn for drying bathing suits and towels. From the pictures you can see the wonderful lake view from the deck which also has a picnic table and deck chairs. A fishing boat and canoe are included.
