The living/dining area features an entire wall of sliding glass doors that open out to the Large Covered Lanai and offer a sprawling view that includes the colorful Ekolu gardens, the Pacific Ocean, the Island of Lanai, and the West Maui Mountains. You can relax in one of the two reclining chairs and watch your favorite shows on the 42-inch HD TV or sit at the desk and use the high-speed connectivity to surf the Internet on your laptop. Enjoy indoor dining at the table that comfortably seats four, or dine outdoors on the lanai.
If you opt to make a simple toast and jam breakfast, delicious pupus, or an elaborate, gourmet meal, you will find the fully-stocked kitchen up to any culinary task. Up-to-date cooking equipment, appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, stove, and refrigerator with ice-maker and purified water make cooking and clean up simple and efficient. Silverware, dishes, glasses, serving pieces and table covers complete your dining experience.
The bedroom, with its Hawaiian decor, is the essence of Maui! It includes a bamboo queen-size canopy bed, a TV for your late-night viewing pleasure, plenty of drawer space in the island-inspired chests and bed stands, and a huge mirrored closet stocked with lots of hangers. A remote-controlled ceiling fan gently cools you while you sleep, or you can choose to turn on the air conditioner.
The master and guest bathrooms offer walk-in showers, and plenty of cupboard and storage space. Each bathroom is stocked with fluffy towels, and the master bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer.
The washer/dryer, iron, and ironing board, conveniently located in a laundry closet just off the master bathroom, enable you to refresh your clothes as often as you want. So, pack everything you’ll need in your carry-on! That way, you’ll avoid those checked-baggage fees some airlines charge and go directly from the airplane to lovely South Maui.
You'll experience outdoor living on the covered main lanai that includes a table and four chairs, a BBQ, and a seating area with two comfortable chairs and a chaise lounge. The lanai opens out onto a large grassy area from which you can walk to one of Ekolu's two pools or stroll through the tropical native fauna throughout the Ekolu grounds. You can also relax in the garden setting of the small lanai off the bedroom.
During the daylight hours, you’ll savor spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, the Island of Lanai, and the West Maui Mountains from the lanais, the living areas, the kitchen and the bedroom. And, from December through March you’ll regularly catch site of humpback whales playing in the Pacific. At the end of the day, you’ll be awed by beautiful sunsets that light up the sky in shades of yellow, orange, pink, red, and purple.
To ensure that you have fun at the local beaches or the two Ekolu swimming pools, the condo has a huge supply of beach and pool gear, including towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, straw mats, snorkel gear, a cooler, paddle ball equipment, and even a noodle float!
Wailea Ekolu Village overlooks the rolling, green fairways of the Wailea Blue Golf Course. World-class tennis courts are within easy walking distance and two other Wailea golf courses are a short drive away. Our guests receive special golf and tennis rates at these Wailea facilities. Or, you can take the short walk (or a few-minute drive) to Ulua Beach where you can snorkel, swim, and bodysurf. This is truly the perfect vacation spot for sports lovers!
And, for shopping and eating pleasures, it’s a very short walk (or a two-minute drive) to the Shops at Wailea where you’ll find lots of tempting shopping and dining options. Or, a supermarket, Hilo Hattie, convenience stores, and more restaurants are just a ten-minute drive up the main highway.
