Located in Lakeside Michigan, right in the heart of Harbor Country. Dining room table has seating for ten or more. Serene morning walks on the beach with your coffee before College Game Day kickoffs, family fall cookouts, bike rides down quiet country roads, antiquing and winery tours, exploring corn mazes, hot apple cider, all topped off with sunsets and a late season beach fire with the beach all to your self for miles in both directions Family and friends will enjoy watching the sunset from the spacious porch. Play volleyball on the sandy beach or roast marshmallows by the firepit on the beach. Plenty of games and books for the kids along with satellite television. Vintage kitchen with butler's pantry has everything you need for cooking. Can also be rented in conjunction with the Carriage House #232744 which sits on this property.

My Greek-Italian Wedding Reunion...

We rented both houses since we had over 16 of us all together, plus probably another 12 day guests and this place was amazing for our reunion. The beach is huge, and the house was great with so many family members. We plan to come again, not as big a crowd, but we will see you next summer! -Al, Eden and the rest of the crew

6 Years in a row and each year gets better!

Longacres Estate and the Big House have been home for our early fall long weekend getaway now for 6 years in a row and this year was no exception. We had our crew up and everyone enjoyed pitching in cooking in the large country kitchen with all the windows open and a great breeze coming through. We had both grills going with 2" steaks from Faladic's and sweet corn, plus surrounded by great family and friends. The house is not fancy, but it is large, clean and has plenty of historical charm as it is almost 100 years old (built by Mr. Warren of Warren Dunes).

The property manager had everything ready when we arrived and was able to answer some questions we had about where to find fire wood for the beach, extra towels and a specific store I was looking for to buy premium steaks.

This is one of the grandest homes around on one of the last great un-broken estates left in southwest Michigan and we love coming here every year for our "big chill" weekend!

Total Beach Fun!!

We've stayed at this property for the last several years and have enjoyed every year. We will absolutely continue to come back. The beach is truly incredible, with over 100 feet of private beach. The house is big, spacious and great for families. It is the perfect place for kids of all ages with the beach and the huge front yard. Every year the kids have exciting games of capture the flag, and baseball in the front yard and then head to beach for a swim. We like to sit in the little screen beach house and watch the sunset. It is beach living at its best and we can't wait for next summer!

Moldy and Filthy

While spacious, this property was far from "luxury". Every bathroom had black mold growing in it. There were cob webs on every light fixture- and half of the lights didn't work. The beds were broken down. The coffee maker had mold growing in it. The toaster had dirt in it. There was one tv with rabbit ears. There are fireplaces as described, but you aren't allowed to use them. The owners relatives and friends were in and out of the property our entire time- so far from private. While the beach is lovely, the owners do not keep it up- old fireworks boxes and wire everywhere. The steps down to the beach are overgrown with vegetations and uneven. It is a shame that this lovely old home has been allowed to fall down around itself. The pictures on the internet do not show the dirt, mold and grime that cover the house. The windows in the sun room were so dirty, they looked as if they had been blacked out. Digusting.
Owner's Response: If any of this would have been brought to my attention during their stay it would have been remedied. Renters were given their full cleaning fee back in an act of good faith. While this is disappointing being this has been one of my most successful rentals, some people you just can't please.
