'Right on right beach' surrounded by dunes and wooded nature preserve. Airy cottage only 13 steps from the wide sandy beach. Wrap-around deck provides panoramic views of the full length of the beach.

Double-story cottage - First floor has living area, sitting room, fireplace, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and private bedroom. Upstairs has a huge open play area for kids, master bedroom with king size bed overlooking gorgeous sunsets and two bedrooms with double bunk beds overlooking the dunes and back woods. Basement has a ping-pong table.

5 miles from Silver Lake with its dune rides, miniature golf, go-carts, bike trails, golf courses, and restaurants specializing in cherry pies. Also close to beautiful up-scale Pentwater, Blue Lake Classical Music Camp, canoeing on Manistee River and many lakes and streams for fishing. 25 miles from famous Michigan Adventure.

Enjoy all the activities in the area or just relax on the warm Lake Michigan Beach.

Beauty on Lake Michigan!

Our family has been blessed to rent this beautiful cottage on Lake Michigan for the last 10 years. The spacious home is nestled in the dunes in Shelby (Benona Township), Michigan and offers spectacular views of Lake Michigan sunsets and an awesome beach just steps away.

The owners are delightful to work with and the cottage is in a very private setting with a good distance from neighboring homes. Our children have a blast climbing the major dune behind the house, which is where the aerial photo in this listing was taken. Of course, they play on the beautiful sand and enjoy the Lake Michigan waves all throughout the day.

While staying at the cottage, we also enjoy excursions to nearby Pentwater; buying cherries from local farms and homemade pies at Woodland Farms Market; going on the Mac Woods Dune Rides; visiting Claybanks Pottery, and attending Holy Mass at Our Lady of Fatima in nearby Shelby on Sundays.

We have made many beautiful family memories to last a lifetime at this incredible Lake Michigan retreat.

Wonderful cottage on beautiful Lake Michigan!

This wonderful cottage has been our "home away from home" for 20 years of summer vacations. We enjoy our annual week on beautiful Lake Michigan with the comfort of a large cottage, the spacious deck to watch the gorgeous sunsets, and plenty of beach to relax and play. We cherish our time here!

One of my favorite places to be!

My Mom and sisters and I rented this cottage last summer and also this past week for the 2nd summer. We fell in love with it the day we arrived. It's very spacious and the views of the lake are spectacular! It's only a short walk from the cottage to the lake and cottage is surrounded by beautiful wooded areas. Driving to the cottage can be a bit challenging, especially at night (deep ravines) but if you go slowly and take your time, you'll have no trouble at all. It's become a favorite place for my mom and sisters and myself- we are so blessed to have stayed here twice now! Our favorite cottage on Lake Michigan! I'd highly recommend this one- anyone looking for a peaceful getaway on the lake will definitely find one at the alderinks! :-) :-)
