Our 'LUXURY IN THE HEART OF KA'ANAPALI' condominium is owned and managed by the owners, Rod and Debi Conklin. Less than a 10 minute walk to America's #1 voted beach, 'Ka'anapali', 'Enchanting Maui' provides our guests w/1600+ square feet of spacious elegance.
Rest assured that Enchanting Maui's tasteful details provide our guests with all the comforts of home. Our master bedroom boasts a Cal-King pillowtop mattress. The master bath includes a granite counter top w/double sinks, tile flooring and a granite and marble 6'X4' walk in shower - it's a beauty! The second bedroom has 2 twins or can be set up as a king. The 2nd bath includes new cabinets, granite countertop, tile shower and new flooring throughout.
Once again, the Conklins', during our Oct/Nov trip, were busy working on the unit to guarantee ourselves and you, our guests, the best possible comforts of home. We received approval mid-October to enclose the small lanai off the 2nd bedroom and the work we started in October will be completely finished in January 2014. The windows are in, the drapes are on their way, the floor has been tiled and the sliding glass door removed. Sheet-rocking and painting will be taken care of in January and the room can now either be used as a sitting room or will accommodate a 3rd twin bed arrangement.
Who wouldn't want to whip up a fabulous meal in the well appointed kitchen with granite countertop, new cookware, and gadgets galore.
We are located in the Ka'anapali Royal Condominiums on the 16th Fairway of the world-famous North Royal Ka'anapali Golf Course just north of Lahaina and a 45-minute coastal drive from the Kahului Airport. Our unit is on the ground floor in the K-Building, however, the complex being on a slope, the ground level is actually down a flight of stairs, 17 in all. Unit is not accessible by elevator or wheelchair. Within the unit, there are 3 stairs to the sunken living room and master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom, with no stairs, is on the entry level.
If it's spending time on the water you'll find a bounty of activities to keep you entertained. Deep sea fishing, para-sailing, diving, snorkeling, strolling the beach for that perfect shell or just sitting and taking in the beauty of the ocean and it's rumbling music, there is a beach activity awaiting your arrival.
Looking for more excitement: hike the crater, ride into the East Maui Mountains on horseback, snorkel or kayak one of the many quiet inlets, or take a romantic sunset dinner cruise. There are several zip-line adventures to choose from on Maui. There is so much to see and do on the Valley Isle and it's all yours to discover.
No need to step outside the condo to find ways to start exploring the Valley Isle and all it has to offer. Our in-house binder will give you a run-down of various activities, places to eat, sites to see and places of worship around the island. If you are a golfer, please mention at the Ka'anapali Pro Shop that you are staying at the Royal. Good possibility that they will offer you a discounted rate on the two home courses. A Walk-Fit club open to the public is a great way to play plenty of golf. For a small monthly fee you can walk the South Course beginning at 4pm and get in as many holes before dark as possible.
Enchanting Maui is not just a condo, it is our home 4 months a year so you will benefit from our time spent in beautiful Maui.
Cleaning is included in the posted rates. We will consider a 5 night rental (no less) however, a $208.00 cleaning will be charged.

Rod and I both grew up in San Francisco, married and move to the Peninsula where we built our home and raised our two children. In 2010 we moved to the Sacramento area and are enjoying our new life there. As a family we spent our summers in Maui and the Big Island but always found ourselves gravitating to Maui. Our first year at Ka'anapali Royal was in 1983 when our son was three and we have been enjoying the Royal since then so that must say something. We are now enjoying bringing our kids, their spouses and our four granddaughters. One of these years we hope to spend Christmas in beautiful Maui with everyone.
We have traveled throughout Europe several times but find relaxing in Maui just as much fun. Rod loves to putter, both on the golf course and in the condo, so upgrading and changes are always happening, for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. I enjoy helping out with the workload or stretching out with a book at oceans' door or by the pool.
Most of all, the units are spacious and our location in the complex desirable. We have stayed in several complexes over the years but always found ourselves returning to the Royal. It's central location with Lahaina only a 10 minute drive and Whaler's Village directly across the golf course provides easy access to dining and shopping. A new shopping complex arrived in West Maui in 2010 across from the Lahaina Cannery and improvements to the area are continuing. Oh my gosh, both an Outlet Mall and a Target are coming to Maui. Maui is expanding but don't expect it this year or next! Maui only grows when the surf isn't up.
You won't need to stake out a pool chair hours in ad- vance of your plans to enjoy the pool. Our unit being on the lower level has direct access to the pool from the lanai. We provide non-breakable dinnerware and glasses in case you want to enjoy lunch or dinner at the pool. Stepping over people or having sand tossed or blown in your face won't happen here. There is a book library in our unit as well as right at the pool in case you're an avid reader and need a replacement. The library grows and changes because we ask that if you take a book, you leave one in exchange.
Whale Watching is Seasonal. The whales start arriving in late October/early November and grace our waters until the end of April. If you're planning your trip during these months, plan on arranging a Whale Watch with the Pacific Whale Foundation. They are excellent and provide a well-INFORMED whale tour. Definitely worth the money.
