It’s a spectacular tropical paradise with secluded white sand beaches, turquoise water, and incredible sunsets. St. Teresa is ideal for surfers and wildlife enthusiasts as well of those looking for total relaxation. Casa Mango sits on a hill at the north end of St. Teresa. This newly built villa has amazing views of the ocean from every room! And, you get the best of all worlds: a THREE MINUTE WALK TO BEACH!!!!! in a more quiet section of town, yet still close to great restaurants/bars. Imagine drinking your morning coffee (Costa Rican of course!) from any one of the terraces, while watching the capuchin monkeys pick mangoes for their breakfast – have some yourself too, there’s a grove on the property! End a great day by watching the most incredible sunset right at the house.

Nearest Airport: Tambor at 20 Miles
Nearest Ferry: Puntarenas/Pacquera at 45 Miles
Nearest Beach: beach at 100 Metres
St. Teresa is part of the Mal Pais area and is 40 Minutes from Tambor Airstrip. Transportation options to St. Teresa from San Jose: 1.) A 30 min flight from San Jose to Tambor (via Sansa), then a 40 min taxi ride. You can also rent a car once you get to Tambor instead of hiring a taxi – Budget & Alamo have offices. 2.) A 5.5 hour drive/ferry (the ferry is really fun!) either in a rental SUV or let someone else do the driving for $40/pp each way. 3.) If you’re adventurous and travel light, you can go to Jaco, stay overnight and take a taxi boat from Playa Heradura to Montezuma – they drop you off on the beach – way cool, then hop in a taxi or rent a car once you get to the peninsula. Casa Mango - A comfortable vacation house

My sister and I spent 10 amazing days at Casa Mango, Santa Teresa in March 2009. Every morning we woke up to the sun shining and birds chirping and sat out on the deck overlooking the hillside leading down to the ocean and enjoyed a cup of delicious Costa Rican coffee. We caught glimpses of iguanas, macaws, tropical birds and heard howler monkeys too.

This house is beautifully furnished, spacious, very clean and comfortable. All modern amenities, comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, ceiling fans and an incredible view. The house is private as it's up on a hillside. It's a very short walk to the beach, grocery store and great restaurants.

It was the perfect haven for a restful and fun vacation. I would definitely stay at Casa Mango again.

Spectacular beaches, great restaurants, and wildlife in your back yard. We saw a coati, capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, and funky squirrels without even leaving the house. On our morning walks, we saw an ocelot. And if you've never HEARD howler monkeys, you're in for a treat! This part of Costa Rica is not touristy, and is great for the independent traveler. Perfect location for wildlife viewing, surfing, eating out, and just hanging out at the beach. The house is gorgeous -- a perfect blend of upscale and outdoor living. It's paradise! ENJOY!

We rented Casa Mango for two weeks in high season and could not have been more pleased with the location, views and amenities. Perched on a hillside, the house remained free of the road dust and was secluded, private and clean. Beautiful views from the balcony and terrace made for relaxing sunsets and for beautiful awakenings in the morning. While the photos on the website provide an accurate view of the house, the reality of being in the house well exceeded our expectations.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
