Wedding location

We searched for a long time to find a vacation house where we could have a small wedding. We were so happy to find this house with such a great view and with so much room inside and out. The owners showed us around the property before we signed the rental agreement which was very kind. They were very nice and gave lots of helpful suggestions. Upon our arrival the house seemed to be in great shape. Overall we ended up having a great (albeit busy!) week with the family- the pool was wonderful since it was so hot and the views of the sunset where breathtaking. We saw a dolphin and lots of fish jumping. We did have a couple of issues. We ended up having to hose down the area around the pool and do some cleaning around the place before the wedding. It wasn't horrible but it was dirty enough that we felt we had to clean it before we had a wedding there. We changed a bunch of lightbulbs. We also cleaned up a bunch of broken pool toys and junk that was in the storage room and garage so we would have more space for the wedding and so it wasn't just lying around. It wasn't anything major but there were a lot of little things that should already have been done and that took time away from wedding prep and spending time together. We did all of the cooking ourselves for the wedding and one of the things we did was plan on grilling several of the dishes. The second day we were there my husband's dad went to grill some steaks and discovered the grill was completely rusted through and would have been a fire hazard if it had been lit. We called the owner who agreed to let us buy a new one and told us we would be reimbursed the day we checked out. My husband's dad went out and got a grill which took him a couple hours to assemble. The day we checked out the housekeeper said the owner couldn't make it so could we leave the receipt for the grill and an address and he would send us a check. We have played phone tag and sent emails to the owner ever since but it is now it's a month and a half later and still haven't seen any money. It wasn't a huge expense (couple hundred bucks) but even still we took the time to go get something that was an amenity that was supposed to be included and took the time to assemble it. We could have just taken it home with us (since we live in the area) but went on good faith that we would be reimbursed. If it wasn't for this, we would have been happy to give the place 5 stars.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the new grill. Our housekeeper probably misplaced the receipt you promised to leave so that I could reimburse you. I sent the $212 for the grill and see the check has already cleared my bank.
