Come stay in this very special Sanctuary by the Sea with panoramic bay & ocean views that will bring you a sense of peace, balance and well-being. Allow your body, mind & spirit to be nourished by the sounds and smells of the surf right outside your windows. This unique 1,800-sq-foot, 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home, with its amazing views, is located a few steps from one of the most beautiful coastal trails in California and is only a short 5-minute walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Words are insufficient to describe the experience you will have walking along this magical beach trail that unites the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf and Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds.

The home itself is tastefully furnished and has been equipped to provide everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Almost all rooms have ocean view!

  • * Holidays/Special Events: Martin Luther King, AT&T Golf, President's Day, Sea Otter Classic, Easter, Big Sur Marathon, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Concours d'Elegance, Labor Day, Monterey Jazz Festival, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.
    * Holiday Rates: $375-$500/nt. $2200-$3000/wk. (3-5 night minimums)
    * 10% City tax applicable to all fees including cleaning & any optional amenity fees.
    * Non-refundable cleaning fees are quoted separately from rent depending on number of guests. $225 for 1-4 guests, $250 5-6 guests and $275 7-8 guests.
    * Rates based on up to 7 guests, including infants & children. Add $50/night or $200/week for for 8-9 guests.
    * Cancel Policy: If you cancel 60 days or less before your arrival date, you are eligible for a full refund only if we can re-rent the property for the same dates and rental rate less the $150 administration fee and any bank or PayPal fees incurred by the owner.
    * This is a 2 story residence.
  • * Full payment is due at time of booking if booked less than 60 days prior to arrival date.
    * If booked more than 60 days in advance of arrival date, 50% of total amount is due to secure reservation with balance of total due 60 days prior to arrival date.
    * Credit Card number must be on file for security against any damages.
    * Access information & directions will be provided once payment is made in full.
    * Last-Minute Specials!! $50 to $100 discount per night, depending on number of guests, if booked within 7 days of arrival, subject to owner's approval. “Minimum night stays” can also be waived.

Many thanks for such a lovely home to call 'our own' while here in the Monterey area. Your hoe exceeded our expectations. Every detail was in place, which was very much appreciated; from the fantastic pesto torte in the cooler (yum), to the luxurious bedding, wine, sunsets and views. We can't believe we have to leave! Next time, we will stay longer. Thank you for making this a highlight of our vacation.

Beautiful Ocean View House in Pacific Grove

I loved this house. It's truly a spiritual retreat, with great books, music, ocean breeze, and just a beautiful relaxing feel. I wish we had stayed much longer and hope to visit again soon.

Fantastic Monterey Getaway

We had an amazing stay at this location in Monterey. It was a 2 min walk to the aquarium and cannery row, and also right next to a beautiful walking/biking path along the ocean. The house was clean, cozy and perfect for our stay. The kitchen/dining/living area was so comfortable that we ended up staying in for dinner most nights. I would highly recommend this place to friends & family, and we are looking forward to coming back hopefully soon!

Don't hesitate to book this great home...

I rented this very comfortable home to host our family of 6 adults to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a very memorable time, due, in part, to the fact that we were so comfortable in the house. It is in a fabulous location, close to the ocean and downtown PG and the aquarium; we did not have to drive the entire weekend! The home is well appointed with all you need to have an amazing weekend with family and friends. Do not hesitate to consider this lovely spot.

Steps to the beach, seals and sea otters!

We stayed here for six days in November 2011, a family of four with two children aged 10 and 8. It is in a fantastic position, about 30 metres to the main walk/bike trail along Monterey's and Pacific Grove's waterfront, an easy walk to the Monterey Aquarium, cafes and shops. It is a couple of blocks to the supermarket, so you really don't need a car to stay here (although not that easy to get to by public transport).

The local area is lovely, with the bike/walking trail going a long way through Monterey. I saw sea otters most mornings I went jogging, there are harbour seals about 100metres away, and sea lions at Fisherman's wharf. You can hire bikes at several places along the trail, and ride a long way along the coast, which is a very enjoyable way to see the area.

The house itself is lovely, with a view out over the water, a comfortable and carefully decorated living/dining/kitchen space and three good sized bedrooms, with two great bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped, with everything you could possibly want to cook a gourmet meal.

It was possibly a little too carefully decorated for our family. With two boys aged 10 and 8 we always felt we were walking on eggshells, not helped by the little signs in many places reminding us of the house rules. The house looked absolutely lovely when we walked in, but it wasn't as homey as some other less lovely places we have stayed in where we could let our boys wrestle on the couch.
