Comfortable 5 bedroom cottage at the back of a quiet cul de sac. The beach is just a few steps away, as are back roads for scenic walks or bike rides. Enjoy breakfast on the sunny porch, swim in the warm water of Nantucket Sound, and have dinner at one of the many fine restaurants nearby. Waken to the mourning doves and fall asleep to the crickets. Perfect for two families to share. With 2 spacious upstairs bedrooms, and the enclosed porch, this house accommodates a variety of activities simultaneously (television in the living room, a game of Scrabble on the porch, children playing upstairs, solitary reading in the back bedroom). Excellent location with easy access to golf, miniature golf, movies, restaurants, grocery stores, gift shops,bike rentals, beaches, canoe rentals, and lakes. Close enough to Rt 28 for convenience but far enough away for peace and tranquility.

Our cottage is conveniently located in the center of Cape Cod. The warm water and gentle surf of Nantucket Sound are within a very short walk. A half hour drive brings you to Cape Cod Bay with calm, cooler water and very expansive beaches, or the National Seashore, the Cape's most scenic beaches with high sand dunes, rugged surf, and the cold Atlantic Ocean. Bicycling is enjoyable in our neighborhood on quiet streets, or on The Cape Cod Rail Trail, just 5 miles away. Pleasant day trips include Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and Provincetown.

Notes: The porch is a 3 season room, with lounge seating for 4 (2 cushioned chairs and a glider) and table seating for 4. This is a pleasant place to eat or relax. A counter with 3 stools separates the kitchen from the dining area, expanding seating for meals to 9. Our proximity to the ocean usually affords a sea breeze, making the temperature comfortable. If needed, there are several table top and window fans. One upstairs bedroom has an air conditioner. Parking is available in the driveway and on the street. There is a picnic table outside and the sunny yard, complete with volleyball net, is suitable for games. Badminton and volleyball equipment supplied, along with a beachball and frisbee.

I spent a week at this home with family in July 2009. Plenty of space for everyone. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and neat. Quiet neighborhood street. Location can't be beat for the price. It's about a five minute walk across the street to beaches.
Owner Elaine was very friendly and even called after we arrived to see if everything was ok!
