August 2010 in Sooke

My wife, I and a friend had the pleasure of staying at the Log House Suite for one week. The owner Ruma Roy is very kind hearted. She provided us with many suggestions to help us discover the treasures of the island and is simply a very gracious and giving woman. The accomodations are small but everything you could need in a vacation home is on the premesis. It's very clean, well stocked if you enjoy cooking, the picture window offers lake views and wildlife (deers) can often be seen strolling by just feet outside of the window. Blackberries grow wild all over the island (it's like the local weed) and it was a fun experience to be walking down the road and reach over and pick berries at our leisure. We eventually hope to return and stay at the Log House. But if it doesn't work out, we were all pleased to have met Ruma, she made all of our hearts smile.
