The Sabini apartment is located on one of Rome's most desirable historic areas, very near the Spanish Steps on a street famous for its old world charm, elegance and proximity to the sites. On the street and around the corner are some of Rome's most elegant and expensive boutique hotels. The Sabini apartment is a bargain by comparison.
Interior
Sleek clean lines and complete amenities make this a comfortable and organized apartment. It offers desirable features that include a king sized bed, a terrace, air conditioning and a dryer.
Off the apartment entry foyer is an attractive and well-lit hallway that houses the kitchen with bedrooms and bathrooms off the opposite side.. Proceed through into the sleek modern kitchen fitted within the corridorThe open plan kitchen leads to the living room, a good layout so families and friends can enjoy socializing between the living/dining area and the kitchen, which are all connected.
A sunny living room/dining room has two windows that overlook the street below, the windows are large and fill the room with light. Italian-chic modern L-shaped sofa, a matching armchair and modern lamp make up the living room area which also features a flat-screen TV. The sofa converts to a double bed. Everything is well organized and carefully thought out for guests' comfort, with minimal clutter and distractions.
The dining area is bright with a handsome table that seats 6. The same modern, monochromatic tone is carried through in this area, accented with a fine, beautifully framed antique painting on the wall. Italians have such a flair for mixing modern with traditional.
The electronics here are complete with a large television with Satellite reception, iPod/iPhone dock, PS3 game console with some games, wifi as well as direct cable internet and a wifi printer.
A thoughtful set of Rome guidebooks has been provided for use by guests.
The kitchen is a model of precise planning and quality finishes. The shimmer of stainless steel countertops, neatly organized glassware and dishes are reflected in the wall-to-wall mirror on the opposite wall. It's a clever use of the corridor that leads to the living room. The uncluttered harmony seen in the living room is carried through in a pleasing way here too. The kitchen has a 4-burner induction stove top, convection oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, drip and Italian coffee pots.
Backtracking down the corridor is the master bedroom, with ample closet space and a window out to the attractive terrace. The bedroom has a king size bed, another rarity in Italian vacation rental properties.
There is a split bathroom off the corridor, just before the terrace. On one side is an enclosed shower and sink. On the other side is a toilet, bidet and sink.
An important feature is that the bedrooms are positioned in the middle of the apartment, each with a window that opens to the terrace. Because they are not near the street, they offer a tranquility not possible with street-facing views.
In the middle of the apartment is the very pleasant, shady terrace with a table and 3 chairs, a quiet retreat for sipping your morning espresso or enjoying a glass of wine at night.
The second bedroom is also off the corridor leading back towards the entry foyer. It has cute child-friendly decor with bunk beds and an adjoining bathroom with enclosed shower, sink and toilet.
