My husband, 2 year old daughter, and I had a wonderful week at the Towers' cottage. The house is clean, airy, and nicely decorated. The glass doors and surrounding windows make for a beautiful view- even at night. Sunsets were our favorite time, with s'mores around the fire. The house maintains a cool temperature at night- even for our family, who lives with central air almost 100% of the time, we were not uncomfortable at all (day time temps in the mid to high 80s). At 27 weeks pregnant, I have a hard time sleeping anywhere, but the queen bed was heavenly- I am wishing I had it now at home!
The island is truly one of a kind- filled with friendly people and quiet beaches. The waves were great for our two year old- she was able to play and get into the water without being knocked down- the water is shallow and pleasant. We enjoyed the small playground at the Prudence School House, as well as jam and muffins we purchased from the self-serve honey stand.
Jim and Kristin were a breeze to work with- friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. (And we had lots of dance parties with their cd stash...I thought we were the only family with Jimmy Buffet AND Pearl Jam in our collection).
Truly a great getaway for those who enjoy a slow paced, relaxing vacation. Just don't forget your bug spray!
We will be back!
Steve, McKenzie, & Vi.
