Flying Moose Cabin on Moose Lake

Our family enjoyed two wks here Aug 6-20, 2011 and it truly is everything that is mentioned in the overview. Our children, and grandchildren were able to spend time with us and the ages ranged from 6 yrs - 3 mo. the families split up the time so we had at the most 4 adults with 3 children for overnights and there was plenty of room. Three docks, a nice fire pit area, paddle boat, row boat & canoe, we had plenty of things to do and lots of time to relax. The house was very clean and cozy. Between playing basketball, fishing off the dock, floating on the lake, 4 wheeling, swimming from the floating dock.......need I say more? It was one of the most relaxing, fun family vacations we have ever had! I was sorry I had to leave. The fishing was not great, but that was not my main objective when renting in August. But, the grandkids did catch bass from the dock and also one of them caught a small muskie, but his eyes were huge when he pulled it in as it was a big fish to a six yr old!
We did see a bull and cow elk when driving in the forest, which was pretty awesome.

We stayed at this home the week of July 16, 2011, with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, and it was wonderful. The home was very clean, comfortable, plenty of room for everyone, and the view was amazing. Nice sandy shoreline for the granddaughter and dog to play in the water. The lake is not crowded at all, so a lot of room to have fun on the boat.

Just got back from a very relaxing stay at Flying Moose Cabin. 6 adults and 1 child stayed there very comfortably. Swam each day from the dock, kayaked, canoed, fished, played cards, and just relaxed with the family. Granddaughter loved the toys and games in the closet. Beautiful view and sunsets each night from the cabin. Wonderful deck. We are already planning next summers say there.
