Photos and Description of the Monterey vacation house rental 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 6 adults and 2 children

This has been our home away from home and refuge from NYC for over 20 years. Before 2008, we never rented it as it is so perfect for weekend getaways. Unfortunately, we can't 'get away' much any longer. Walking distance to Lake Garfield which has a sand beach and lifeguards. Peaceful, deep in the woods. Very private on five acres of forested land. Toss a log into the wood burning stove and unwind from all the stresses of everyday life. The house is chalet style with post and beam construction and a cathedral ceiling. During the summer months, enjoy the screened in porch. Fabulous hot tub for all seasons. It is close to Butternut and Jiminy Peak Ski areas. Butternut in particular is a family friendly mountain. In summer, enjoy Tanglewood, Shakespeare Theatre, Jacobs Pillow, Swimming, etc. All seasons enjoy the wonderful Restaurants, Antique Stores and welcoming Berkshires people.

Exactly as advertised. Beautiful in the woods quiet setting. Well supplied kitchen has everything needed. Bring enough food and there is no reason to leave.

Outstanding home, great privacy and quiet

Had a great time in this quaint New England home in the woods. Great hot tub and a cool little General Store just up the road for good breakfast. Also close to Great Barrington (15 minutes) for all other needs. Had deer in the yard and owls at night nearby. If desired, great runs right here on dirt country roads where the neighbors all said "Hi"

Highly recommended, we may swing back on the way back out West, thanks Jay!

Your home in Monterey was spectacular. The house
was in great shape and very comfortable. I didn't get
a chance to try the hot tub, but the other guests did
and said it was fantastic. Thank you for the
opportunity to stay in your home.

This home was ideal for getting away -- perfectly secluded and private but close enough to everything one needs (activities, grocery store, etc.). The property is beautiful as is the home itself (loved the sizable kitchen and hot tub in particular). The porch would be great for spring/summer. Would highly recommend.
