Sunny, garden level 'in-law' apartment in Classic San Francisco Victorian built in 1896. High on the hill overlooking Noe Valley & The Mission. This charming, bright studio, has hardwood floors and low ceilings (some rafters leave only 6' clearance).
Newly remodeled kitchen with granite countertop, gas stove and dishwasher. The bedroom has a built-in double bed. There are down comforters for the bed and the living-room convertible sleeper that is between twin and full size. The cozy little bathroom has a newly tiled shower.
The studio has its own private entrance from the street and lovely landscaping just outside the many windows. A washer and dryer are located in the unit.
Walking distance to Noe Valley, The Castro and The Mission districts' shopping and restaurants.
You can walk 2 blocks East to the J-Church Muni streetcar line that goes to Dolores Park, Union Square and the Embarcadero waterfront of downtown San Francisco. Or you can walk just a block and a half West to a bus stop for the #24, and you can ride or walk 8 blocks North to The City’s famous Castro neighborhood, where you’ll find even more shops and restaurants, as well as the classic Art Deco Castro movie house and the Muni underground lines that go West to the Pacific and East to the Bay.
Street parking is available. Certain blocks have 2 hour permit restrictions, other adjacent blocks do not. Always check signs for Permit requirements and Street Sweeping restrictions.
I am rewriting the previous review which was somehow truncated. The studio is in a great location, comfortable and well organized with full kitchen, wifi and so much charm. So much better than antiseptic hotels - I walked everywhere - close to my family in Noe valley. The owner was responsive but never intrusive so my stay was very private and quiet. Bathroom is small but functional. I would return!
The private studio behind the Victorian home was exactly as stated and shown in the photographs. It was quiet, clean, private and very well organized and comfortable. I felt like I had a home away from home and loved being able to make my own breakfast in the kitchen which is well equipped. The location was close to my family and also close to shopping and restaurants. Since I walked everywhere, I do not have experience with parking a car but like any city, parking is restricted and a premium. The owner was responsive to any problem but otherwise not present and respectful of privacy. I would happily return to this studio on my next visit. Thank you very much.

comfortable, organized and clean. It was great to use the kitchen for all my breakfasts.
This flat is located on a quiet, clean, attractive street near the Castro district (called Noe Valley). It was easy to find, and easy to travel to and from the central parts of the city (we had our own car). I cannot speak to the ease of public transportation, but parking was free and easy, keeping in mind that we generally took the car into the more touristy parts of the city, so we didn't have to work at parking during the day. The flat seems to be a basement apartment. It is nicely painted, very clean and attractive, with a charming retro motif. Windows looked out to the quiet street. It is a studio though the pics look a little like there is a separate bedroom. It has a full kitchen with all new appliances and all the amenities needed to make meals or keep food. The bathroom was the least upgraded space and very, very small but it was just fine for the two of us. I thought the price was fair. The only thing to note is that anyone over 6 foot tall would need to duck while staying there as the ceilings were low.
Location is great and apartment is terrific for a couple. All of the conveniences of home. This was our first time using VRBO but it definately won't be the last.
The space was perfect for the two of us. It's in a great location. We loved having 24th street shops and restaurants within walking distance. If we hadn't rented a car, there was a bus stop we could have used half a block away. The place was clean, well stocked, and gave us a "local" San Fransisco experience. We would definitely stay here again if we ever visit San Francisco in the future. We had a wonderful time on our vacation, and this location was a huge part of that.
