Camp Twiggy is located in scenic Lake Placid, NY nestled at the base of the high peaks of the Northern Adirondack’s. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway with your significant other, a family vacation filled with memories, or anything in between, Camp Twiggy offers the finest in Adirondack accommodations.

Designed by renowned architect Michael Bird, built by local artisans over a two year period and completed in December of 2007, Camp Twiggy offers a balance of elegance and comfort. This home has been built and designed in the classic Adirondack construction with stunning woodwork, three hand laid fireplaces, and custom made furniture in each room while incorporating all of the modern conveniences such as a complete Viking kitchen, Buderus in floor radiant heat, and Tempur-Pedic mattresses.

Camp Twiggy can accommodate up to 16 guests in 5 bedrooms with 3 1/2 baths.

  • Policies

    For the comfort of our guests, the efficiency of operating the home, and the preservation of our personal residence we have the following policies.

    - Four night minimum stay, except for Special Events which requires a six night minimum stay
    - Cleaning Fee is $250
    - $2000 Security Deposit
    - Fifty percent of the cost of your stay is required on the date you execute the Lease Agreement the remaining balance, security deposit, and cleaning fee is required 60 days prior to your rental start date.
    - Master Bedroom and Master Bathroom are not included in any rentals
    - All deposits are non-refundable
    - All major credit cards are accepted although a three percent surcharge will be added to the total cost
    - Check in Time is 3:00 pm
    - Check out Time is 11:00 am
    - NO Smoking in the house or on the property
    - NO Pets in the house or on the property

My family and I had an amazing time at Camp Twiggy in Lake Placid this past Thanksgiving. The house itself was clean, cozy, and provided enough space for everyone. The furniture and decorations were really cool and it was so cute how each room had its own theme! It was nice being so close to everything. We were able to go in town and look at all the shops, eat at some of the local restaurants, and we even went to Whiteface Mountain. Hopefully we can visit again sometime soon!

Thanksgiving Vacation

My family and I just vacationed in Lake Placid for Thanksgiving. It was our first visiting Lake Placid as well as staying at Camp Twiggy. We had a great time and will definitely be back soon. We were close to town where all of the restaurants and shops are and just a few minute's drive to Whiteface Mountain where there were endless activities. The inside of Camp Twiggy was stunning! While we were there we gathered in the great room to play board games and watch TV by the fire. The outdoor deck and fireplace was also a family favorite while we were there. I would definitely recommend Camp Twiggy to anyone visiting Lake Placid!

Our stay at Camp Twiggy was extraordinary! The home is absolutely beautiful with hand made furnishings and plenty of space to be comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better rental, We'll be sure to return!
