Our lovely house is perfectly located on the exclusive Emerald Island Resort, a gated community with its own clubhouse. This elegant and spacious vacation home is perfect for family groups, and sleeps up to 14 guests.

There is a spacious family room to relax in together during the day or evening, with luxurious furnishings, sumptuous sofas, a large screen cable TV and DVD Player, plus a stereo system. There's also a separate lounge area providing extra space, and the perfect place for the kids to play or read quietly, and a 'loft' area with desk, sofa and cable TV with DVD. Free WIFI.

Step outside from the family room, and enjoy the Florida sunshine as you have fun together in our sparkling, crystal clear pool. When you want to relax, sit in the soothing bubbles of the raised spa pool, and let the sound of the waterfall relax you. The pool has a removable safety fence for extra added protection for young infants should you need it, and doors to the deck area have safety locks.
About Douglas Ebdon

We bought our home at Emerald Island following a wonderful family holiday to celebrate my wife, Brenda's, 60th birthday. After much searching we eventually purchased Emerald Island Haven, which is in the same road as the house we rented for the holiday!! We are retired and use the house ourselves, as do our family, on several occasions each year.

Beautiful and spcaious house

This house was perfect for our needs. It was spacious and beautifully presented, I loved the decor, exactly how it looked on the website!! It has everything you need, the kitchen is well stocked with delph, cutlery, utensils, etc... And there is no shortage of towels, blankets or spare sheets.

We did have one problem with the pool heater while we were there, but this was fixed promptly by the maintenance company and I also got an e-mail from the owner with an explanation of the problem, so I have to say the customer service was second to none.

The location was excellent so close to Disney. There are plenty of restaurants - the Outback and the Olive Garden being my personal favourites - and shops within a 5 min. drive, and it's not far from International Drive and the other parks. A perfect base for anywhere in Kissimmee/Orlando really. the furthest place we went was The Kennedy Space Centre which was still only a 1 hour drive.

I have stayed in the Emerald Island Resort a few times and i would definitively say this is the nicest of the houses I've stayed in, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone, it was so nice to have somewhere I felt comfortable and relaxed in while on holidays.

Wonderful stay!

We recently spent a week in Orlando, this is the first time we rented a house and could not have asked for a better experience. The owners were great to deal with, quick & detailed responses to all e-mails. The management company was also top notch, check in could not have been quicker or easier! We felt very safe in this community. The house was just as described, clean & comfortable. Our kids loved the pool, even though it was 48 degrees outside one day the kids didn't care, thank God for the pool heater! We will be back and highly recommend this home.

Excellent Holiday Home

Wonderful Villa for Disney Vacation

This home was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. Having stayed in two different villas in Formosa Gardens before, we found this Emerald Island villa to be the cleanest home of all. The pool and hot tub are beautiful. We did not use the clubhouse but stopped in to mail postcards and the staff was very friendly. Disney parks are less than 10 minutes away. The management company was very prompt to respond to any concerns. Best of all was dealing with the owner, Douglas. What a kind gentleman! He truly cares about his guests' comfort and his English accent makes everything he says sound like Shakespeare to we Americans! Thank you, Douglas, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We highly recommend it and hope to return again!

Some info to know:
-The large master bedroom with grand bath is on the first floor. All other BRs are on second floor. (This may matter to other families with small children--also we used a safety gate for the stairs which was provided in second floor hall closet.)
-You will receive one hotel type mini soap in each bath and one roll of toilet paper. Also, one single use packet of dishwasher detergent. No liquid dish soap. No spray cleaner, wipes, or paper towels. You will need to bring extras or be prepared to buy them. Target store is conveniently located about 5 minutes away by VillaDirect on Rt192. There is also a brand new Panera Bread there--friendly staff and great for quick but quality takeout.
-There are plenty of fluffy, soft towels for the baths and pool.
-There are no pool toys or floats at all, so you may want to bring or buy these. We packed goggles and a float from home.
-If you are doing Disney: We got our tickets through Undercover Tourist and saved about $200 vs. buying through Disney for our family of 7. We had never heard of them before and were slightly nervous, so we want to spread the word of our good experience with this quality, money-saving company.

The Eggington family

This was our first family holiday in a private villa – and certainly will not be our last! We will have no hesitation in returning.
Our children 11, 8 and 3 were blown away with the pool area, which was private enough for even me to don my bikini!!
We had hours of fun in the games room too.
Spotless, well decorated, superbly located – we couldn’t have asked for more! The pictures don’t really enable you to gain a full appreciation of the place.
