Welcome to Purgatory Point Lodge. This spacious home overlooks the most spectacular views of Electra Lake, Castlerock, Hermosa Cliffs, and national forest. This home has it all, views, decks, privacy, while Durango Mountain Resort is ten minutes from your door. This home could be a romantic get-away, host a family reunion, or be the away-from-it-all vacation. Sitting on 2 acres, the 2800 sq.ft. home has two master suites, one upstairs and one downstairs offering one level living accommodations if desired. A large wrap-around deck has cliff and lake views from every angle complete with the sound of a cascading waterfall (a short hike). The property borders the Little Cascade Creek and San Juan National Forest, which means you can walk from the back deck or choose a nearby trailhead for your next hiking adventure. No matter your choice for fun, the amenities of this home, the ease of access throughout the year, and the beauty of this mountain setting will create lasting memories.

But if you do, the property is conveniently located just minutes from world class skiing, snowshoeing and hiking (from your back door), boating, fishing in the privately accessed and stocked lake, horseback riding, rafting, tubing, biking, golf, rodeos, the Mesa Verde National Monument, the Narrow Gauge Railroad, a concert series offered by Durango Mountain Resort called “Music in the Mountains,” and the scenic Alpine Loop jeep trail. A 25 minute drive south on Highway 550 into the historic town of Durango will offer nightlife, shopping, an indoor water park, exercise facility, and a variety of restaurants. This is truly the best location in Southwestern Colorado, and you definitely want to be here on the mountain where all the adventures await you!

Your toes will always be warm in this in-floor heated, two story home boasting two master bedrooms each offering unique styling and gorgeous views. The downstairs master features a hottub that can be shared with house guests and family members, or privately secluded. The upstairs loft bedroom/gameroom offers a card table, a second T.V. with DVD, Xbox, games, and toys. This loft is more private that they typical loft so it can be easily used as a 4th bedroom with the double futon sleeping 2. The downstairs living room offers a large screen T.V. with DVD and sound system. If you must continue working, there is a private office with direct DSL internet connectivity and unbelievable views (to distract you)! But of course, if you want to feel the mountain breeze in your hair, sit out on the spectacular deck accessing the WIFI that is available throughout the home. Our goal is for you to plan all your vacations here at Purgatory Point, both winter and summer. Please, be our guests!
